 PLUS HARDCARD 20

The compatibility of this board depends on its BIOS. Some versions of
the BIOS cause problems when an Expanded Memory Manager, such as
ILIM386, is present. If you're having trouble using a Hardcard 20 with
Inboard 386/PC, check the serial number of the Hardcard. If the serial
number includes the characters "CB" or "CF," the problem is probably
     with the Hardcard BIOS.

PLUS Development Corporation has identified the problem and can ship
you an updated BIOS. Their number is 900-740-4433. There is a $5
     charge for the call.

 PLUS HARDCARD 40

Intel has tested this product with Inboard 386/PC, and they are
compatible. However, Intel has received customer reports of problems.

Customers report problems accessing the Plus Hardcard 40 that comes in
a box labeled, "now compatible with PS/2 Model 30." The problems
usually occur when an Expanded Memory Manager, such as ILIM386, is
present. If you're having trouble using a Hardcard 40 with Inboard
386/PC, the problem is probably with the Hardcard BIOS. PLUS
Development Corporation has identified the problem and can ship you an
updated BIOS. Their number is 900-740-4433. There is a $5 charge for
     the call.

PRIAM 60M-BYTE HARD DISK AND CONTROLLER

Customer reports "DMA page fault errors" when using DOS 3.3, ILIM386,
and PRIAM software. DOS 3.2 works fine.

 RLL CONTROLLERS

Customer reports that RLL controllers are compatible with Inboard
386/PC if the hard disk is an "approved" RLL hard disk. RLL
controllers are sensitive to the timing of read and write operations.
Disk drive manufacturers recommend using approved RLL drives with RLL
controllers, regardless of the computer type. If you're having
problems with an RLL controller, make sure your hard disk is RLL
     approved.

 RMT SYSTEMS RMT2001-F2H2 CONTROLLER

This controller is compatible with Inboard 386/PC. This board controls
two floppy drives (360K-, 720K-, 1.2M- or 1.44M-byte) and two hard
disks in a IBM PC XT or compatible computer.

     RMT Systems' ph (303) 453-4330.

 SYSGEN HIGH-DENSITY FLOPPY CONTROLLER

This controller is compatible with Inboard 386/PC when the Inboard is
set to its slower speeds, but it won't work reliably with the Inboard
     386/PC set to speed 4.

TALL GRASS EXTERNAL HARD DISK/TAPE BACKUP

Customers have reported this controller is incompatible with Inboard
386/PC. The hard disk locked up intermittently, and the tape back-up
wouldn't run. Also, Tall Grass diagnostics failed when reading Head 1.

 WESTERN DIGITAL FILECARD

Intel has tested this product with Inboard 386/PC, and they are
     compatible.

 WESTERN DIGITAL FOXCARD

Intel has received mixed customer reports on these boards:

WD1002A-FOX003 (2 high-density floppy controller for IBM PC XT or
         compatible)
WD1002A-FOX004 (4 high-density floppy controller for IBM PC XT or
         compatible)

These boards control floppy drives from 360K-bytes to 1.44M-bytes and
contain a ROM. The ROM default address is CC00-CDFF, but you can move
     it to CE00-CFFF, EC00-EDFF, or EE00-EFFF.

One user reported using the WD1002A-FOX004 with an Inboard 386/PC and
ILIM386 version 2.05. The controller worked for standard but not high-
density drives. With ILIM386 version 4.04, the controller worked fine
with all drives. This user reported that the computer won't boot if
the ROM is set for an address other than CC00-CDFF. Another user
reported the 1.2M-byte drive was inaccessible with Inboard 386/PC
     installed.

 WD1002A-WX1 AND -WX2

Intel has tested these controllers with Inboard 386/PC, and they are
compatible. Customer reports indicate changing the interleave from
three to four increases disk performance.

 REVISION JD

Intel has tested this controller with Inboard 386/PC, and they are
     compatible.

 XEBEC 1210 HARD DISK CONTROLLER

Customers have reported this controller is incompatible with Inboard
386/PC. It caused boot and hard disk access problems with Inboard
     386/PC.
