 MATHTEXT BY HUFF SOFTWARE

Version 1.85 of this math formula word processing program locks up with
Inboard 386/PC installed. Huff Software reports the same problem
occurred on an IBM PS/2 Model 80 and most other 80386-based computers.

 MATLAB AND MATLAB 386

Intel tested this both Matlab and Matlab 386 version 3.5d with the
Inboard 386/PC, and they are compatible.

 MICROSOFT CHART

Intel tested this product with the Inboard 386/PC, and they are
     compatible.

 MICROSOFT EXCEL

Intel tested this product with the Inboard 386/PC, and they are
     compatible.

 MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR

Intel tested this product with the Inboard 386/PC, and they are
     compatible.

 MICROSOFT WORD 3.0 AND 4.0

Intel tested these products with the Inboard 386/PC, and they are
     compatible.

One customer reported that Microsoft Word reportedly causes the speaker
to squawk in an IBM PC XT with an enhanced keyboard and an Inboard
     386/PC.

 MICROSOFT QUICKBASIC VERSION 4.50

Customer reports of compatibility with the Inboard 386/PC.

     Technical Note:
This version of QuickBasic in an IBM PC-2 (or a PC-1 with BIOS upgrade)
with Inboard 386/PC can cause erroneous "Overflow" errors when you
enter large integers or numbers containing a decimal point. This
happens when the system board switches are incorrectly set to indicate
that a math coprocessor is present. If there is no math coprocessor in
the computer, Switch 2 on Switch block 1 should be OFF.

 MICROTECH RESEARCH COMPILER

Customer reports indicate this program is compatible with the Inboard
386/PC, but ILIM386 causes the error, "Problem enabling A20." Remove
     ILIM386 to use this program.

 MULTIMATE ADVANTAGE

When running MultiMate Advantage with the Inboard 386/PC in fast mode,
the computer will beep and repeat the last keystroke. You can correct
this by entering the Modify Console Defaults menu and changing the
keyboard acceleration to OFF. (MultiMate Advantage comes with this set
to ON.) MultiMate is reported to be correcting this (it is a problem
on all 80386-based computers). Contact MultiMate for availability of
     the correction.

 NOVELL NETWARE

Intel tested this product with Inboard 386/PC, and they are compatible.

 KEYTRONICS TOUCHPAD

One customer reports that a computer containing an Inboard 386/PC locks
up after exiting Windows if the Keytronics Touchpad Keyboard is used.

 NEC MONOGRAPH MONITOR

This monitor can cause intermittent lock-ups in Windows applications
(especially Aldus PageMaker). This problem occurs with or without
     Inboard 386/PC.

 UNSUPPORTED DOS MACHINE ERROR

Windows displays this message for many reasons, including not having
enough memory on the Inboard 386/PC (in this case, you need a Piggyback
Memory option). In a COMPAQ Portable, ROM BIOS version C and earlier
can cause this error. Upgrade to version H or J.

 UNSUPPORTED DOS VERSION ERROR

This error can appear after executing the ISPEEDPC 1 command with the
first version of INBRDPC.SYS. Contact Intel Customer Support for more
     recent Inboard 386/PC software.

This can also occur with certain versions of DOS 3.2. DOS 3.3 fixes
the problem. This error occurred in Leading Edge and Zenith DOS
versions and is not a result of Inboard 386/PC.

YOU CAN'T READ DRIVE C: OR PRINT

Windows 386 is incompatible with hard disk partitioning programs such
as Ontrack, Speedstor, or Edisk. It works with standard DOS partitions
only. Use DOS 3.3's FDISK to partition drives larger than 30M bytes.
Intel has also received reports of problems with RLL controllers.
     Contact Microsoft for more information.

 WINDOWS 386 TECHNICAL SUPPORT

You can get technical support for Windows 386 for the Inboard 386/PC
     from Microsoft at (206) 882-8089.

 WINDOWS 2.03

Microsoft Windows 2.03 doesn't work with the /E parameter in the
SWAPDISK= line of the WIN.INI file. This is a problem with Windows.
Even though the Windows manual says to use this parameter, remove it
and use either the hard disk or a RAM disk drive letter as the
SWAPDISK. Also designate a SWAPSIZE= on the next line (for example,
     SWAPSIZE=1024 or SWAPSIZE=2048).

 WINDOWS 286 VERSION 2.1

Inboard 386/PC with a Piggyback Option board can cause Windows to lock
up at its sign-on screen. If you have this problem, contact Intel
Customer Support for an upgraded Inboard 386/PC Installation diskette,
or, if you have a modem you can downloaded the latest software directly
     from the Intel BBS.

You can temporarily correct this problem by adding EMS=256 to the
ILIM386 device driver line in the CONFIG.SYS file.
