AMI & AMI PRO BY SAMNA

This Windows application works great with Inboards. However, Microsoft
recommends using their SMARTDRV disk caching program instead of ICACHE.

The installation for Runtime Windows will install HIMEM.SYS before the
     Inboard's INBRDPC.SYS or INBRDAT.SYS driver. You must move HIMEM.SYS
so it loads after the Inboard driver. Also, do not use ILIM386.SYS and
HIMEM.SYS at the same time. ILIM386.SYS performs the same functions as
HIMEM in addition to providing expanded memory.

 ASYST

ASYST Versions 1.56 and earlier don't work with the 80387. ASYST has
software to correct the problem. Contact ASYST's technical support at
     (716) 272-8211 for the software.

 AUTODESK'S AUTOCAD

(Field report) AutoCAD 386 Release 10c reportedly works well on the
Inboard 386/AT with extended memory or ILIM386 4.07, but not with IEMM.
The new version of Extended AutoLISP is reported to have a parameter
which fixes the previous incompatibility with Inboard. Contact your
     AutoCAD dealer for more information.

AutoCAD Release 10 works great with Inboard 386 and Inboard PC if you
do not use Extended AutoLISP. The Autodesk documentation for Extended
AutoLISP says it will not work with some versions of Inboard 386.
Intel has no evidence that it makes any difference what version of the
Inboard is being used, it will not work. Consider upgrading to AutoCAD
     386.

Autocad versions 2.5, 2.53, 2.6, and release 9 work fine. Many
customers have reported problems with Autocad versions earlier than
V2.5. Autocad no longer supports these early versions. If problems
occur with Autocad versions earlier than 2.5, customers should upgrade
     to the latest version.

 CADKEY VERSION 3.01

(Field report) One field report indicates that Cadkey version 3.01 is
     compatible with Inboard 386.

 COPY-PROTECTED SOFTWARE

All copy-protected software Intel has tested has run from the hard
disk, in all speeds, without problems. When using a key disk, no
problems have been seen in Speeds 1 and 3.

Install programs should also work in Speeds 1 and 3. Lotus 123,
FrameWork II, dBASE III+, Symphony, and Paradox use Softguard copy
protection. If the install program terminates with error code 8828,
the program is probably being run in Speed 2 or 4. Change to 1 or 3
     and try again.

 CROSSTALK IVX

Crosstalk is sensitive to speed increases. You may need to increase
(even double) delay times for dialing.

 CYGNET COMMUNICATION CO-SYSTEM

(Field report) One field report stated this software (Version 3.04
with Version 3.06 firmware) will not load with Inboard 386 installed.
The manufacturer is no longer in business.

 DBASE III+

(Field report) dBase III+ is reported compatible with Inboard 386.
One report indicated that Dbase III+ must be installed on the hard disk
at speed 1 but can be run at a higher speed. If you install at high
speed, the message "Program too big for memory" is returned when you
     invoke the program.

 DESQVIEW 2.0

Quarterdeck DESQview version 2.0 is compatible with Inboard 386 and
performs true multitasking. DESQview works best with QEMM, an expanded
     memory manager by Quarterdeck.

Tech Note: We have reproduced a customer issue where PC Anywhere loaded
before loading Desqview would cause an IBM AT's speaker to "scream" and
then the computer would lock up. This was found to be BIOS related. IBM
BIOS revisions dated 01/04/84 or 06/10/85 would cause the same failure
when tested with other 80386 CPU accelerator cards as well as with the
Inboard AT. The IBM BIOS version dated 11/15/85 or BIOS's from AMI and
     Phoenix don't exhibit this failure.

 DIGICAD

(Field report) One user reports that DigiCad locks up an Inboard 386
with a 80387 installed if the coprocessor switch on the Inboard 386
(switch 4) is set incorrectly. Make sure switch 4 is on if an 80387 is
     present.

 EASY EXTRA

(Field report) One user reports that MicroPro (Easy Extra's
manufacturer) stated Easy Extra won't work in any 80386-based computer
and they have no plans to rewrite the software. The reported symptom
is that the computer locks up during spell check.

 FASTBACK PLUS

Fastback Plus overwrites the CONFIG.SYS file. If you have any devices
drivers, such as ILIM386 or EMM, loading in the CONFIG.SYS file, they
will be removed when you install Fastback Plus.

 GOLDEN BOW DISK CACHE

 GOLDEN BOW DISK CACHE

(Field report) Reports indicate this disk cache is incompatible with
Inboard 386. The computer locks up.

 GOLDEN COMMON LISP (386 VERSION)

This software is incompatible with the Inboard 386. It is designed
specifically for their own 80386 product.

 JET

The JET program is compatible with Inboard 386 in all speeds. However,
the JET DEMO program will not run in speeds 3 and 4 (when the Inboard
     386 cache is on).

 LAHEY FORTRAN

This program is compatible with Inboard 386, but you must not use
ILIM386. The Fortran program uses expanded memory directly, and A20
errors will occur if ILIM386 is running.
