 ALWAYS TECHNOLOGIES IN2000 SCSI CONTROLLER

*CUSTOMER REPORT* of compatibility with Above Boards and Matched Memory
     Classic.

Tech Notes: This controller uses reserved memory address C0000-CBFFF.
The report indicated that it was necessary to change the SCSI
controller I/O address from 220 to 110 or the system wouldn't boot with
the controller and the Intel memory board installed at the same time.

BERNOULLI BOX INTERFACE BOARD BY IOMEGA

BERNOULLI BOX INTERFACE BOARD BY IOMEGA

Compatible with Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic.

TROUBLESHOOTING: Try swapping the order of the Bernoulli and EMM.SYS
device drivers. If you are using the QUIKMEM2 RAM disk software, be
sure the Bernoulli device driver is loaded BEFORE QUIKMEM2.

Check to be sure you have the correct adapter board for your machine
     type:
     >> The PC3 or PC3B boards are for PC and XT systems.
     >> The PC2 or COMBO boards are for AT systems.

In some cases the PC3 or PC3B boards will work in AT systems until you
load the bus, but remember they are using an adapter board that is not
designed for an AT system. So if the Intel memory board works without
the Bernoulli board installed, they'll need to replace the Bernoulli
     board.

ROM ADDRESS: The Bernoulli board is configurable from C0000 to E0000
with jumpers on the board. The 8K ROM is needed only if booting from
     the Bernoulli.

 ASC-88 SCSI ADAPTER

ASC-88 SCSI Adapter by Advanced Storage Concepts
Compatible with Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic. Has switch
settings for reserved memory addresses. The factory default setting is
CC00. The following jumper settings are as listed from their manual,
     Appendix B:

     A16 A15 A14 ADDRESS
      0 0 0 = C000
      0 0 1 = C400
      0 1 0 = C800
      0 1 1 = CC00 factory default setting
      1 0 0 = D000
      1 0 1 = D400
      1 1 0 = D800
      1 1 1 = DC00

If you are setting the Intel memory board for expanded memory, use the
EXPF or EXPL parameters to relocate the expanded memory page frame
before or after the ASC memory address.

CUMULUS SILHOUETTE EXTERNAL HARD DRIVE ADAPTER

*CUSTOMER REPORT* of compatibility with current Above Boards, Matched
Memory Classic, and the discontinued Above Board 286 and PS/286.

Tech Note: This board may use I/0 address 208. If there's a conflict,
remove the Cumulus board, and change the Intel memory board I/0 address
to something other than 208. Then re-install the Cumulus board.

COPYII PC DELUXE BY CENTRAL POINT

*CUSTOMER REPORTS* of compatibility with Above Boards and Matched
     Memory Classic.

Tech Notes: Default I/O port address for the CopyII PC Deluxe board
conflicts with Above Boards. Jumpers for Deluxe:

J6 has two jumpers: LEFT RIGHT I/O ADDRESS
                               ---- ----- -----------
                               UP UP 268h-26Fh default
                               DOWN DOWN 3E8h-3EFh
                               UP DOWN 368h-36Fh
                               DOWN UP 2E8h-2EFh

J7 controls DMA port: UP = channel 1 default
                               DOWN = channel 3

 DATAMATIC SCSI HARD DISK CONTROLLER

Compatible with Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic.

Tech Notes: The factory default I/O address is 330. Alternate choices
are 320, 328, 330, and 338. The factory default for ROM address is set
     to D800 using 16K. Alternate ROM addresses are C800, CC00, D000, and
D800 configured by jumpers on the board.

 EXPANZ!

Disk compression product, a half-length AT-bus board that contains an
ASYC with a disk compression algorithm. The algorithm works like
PKZip; however, it appears to be a more efficient algorithm.

This product uses a 16K reserved page frame. The board can be set to
     the following addresses:

         CC00 (default) DC00 EC00
         C800 D800 E800
         C000 D400 E400
                         D000 E000

If the customer is on a system that permits access to the E000 range
(XTs), set the "Expanz!" board to a 16K boundary in this range. If the
user is on a system that does not decode E000 (ATs), then EMM will
     require a page frame parameter.

 FUTURE DOMAINS SCSI CONTROLLER

*CUSTOMER REPORTS* of LIMITED COMPATIBILITY with Above Boards and
Matched Memory Classic depending on the version of the SCSI controller.

Symptom: With an Intel memory board in the system the hard drive would
time out. Removing the EMM.SYS driver DID NOT HELP. The SCSI board
had -02 on the assembly number on the front of the board.

Solution: Customer tried the newer version of the SCSI board, -03, and
     it worked fine.

PLUS HARDCARD IN THE IBM AT

*CUSTOMER REPORTS* of compatibility with Above Boards and Matched
     Memory Classic.

NOTE: The Plus Hardcard BIOS ver 4.2 is INCOMPATIBLE with the 6MHz IBM
AT BIOS dated 1-10-84. The solution is to replace the BIOS with a
later revision of the IBM BIOS.

IBM 5.25 EXTERNAL FLOPPY CTRL AND LOTUS 2.0

*CUSTOMER REPORT* of compatibility with Above Boards and Matched Memory
     Classic.

One customer reported that his IBM Model 30/286 locked up whenever he
accessed the 5.25 drive in Lotus 2.0. The problem disappeared when he
     switched to Lotus ver 2.01.

 KODAK 6.6MB FLOPPY CONTROLLER

*CUSTOMER REPORT* of compatibility with Above Boards and Matched Memory

     D1FFFh or D200h - D3FFFh.

 KONAN DISK CONTROLLER

*CUSTOMER REPORT* of compatibility with current Above Boards and
     Matched Memory Classic.

     switchable address (C000, C800, CC00, D000, D400, D800, DC00). One
customer reported his AT-Clone wouldn't boot when the discontinued
Above Board 286 was installed with this board. Upgrading to the Above
Board Plus allowed it to work with both boards in 16-bit mode.

 LCS 6610F FLOPPY CONTROLLER

*CUSTOMER REPORT* of INCOMPATIBILITY with Above Boards in one computer.
Long Shine Computers XT hangs on boot with this board and an Above
Board, even when the EMM.SYS driver is not installed. Customer
switched to a Western Digital disk controller using the LCS BIOS and it
     worked.

LCS controller handles two internal floppies, has a BIOS that can
     reside at either CC000 or CA000, I/O ranges 370-37F.

hence the ROM on the XT controllers. The ROM default address is CC00-
CDFF. It can be move to CE00- CFFF or in the high E000 range (same two
     offsets.)

 WESTERN DIGITAL WD1007/WA2

Can cause system to not boot after installing AB, due to extreme length
of I/O read & I/O write lines on the controller board.
