 ISC WP3

*CUSTOMER REPORTS* of limited compatibility with Above Boards and
Matched Memory Classic boards in this 8088-based computer. This machine
operates at 4.77 MHz. TESTAB will show parity chip row all bad (no
other boards in the system). Backfilling from 256k to 640k worked but
when EMM tries to load the computer will hang.

Tech Note: Tested in 3 different systems of same configuration with
minimal CONFIG.SYS and no AUTOEXEC.BAT files, results were the same.
Intel Memory cards can provide conventional memory but not expanded
     memory in these systems.

 ITT XTRA

*CUSTOMER REPORTS* of compatibility between these XT-Compatible
computers and current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards,
also with the discontinued Above Board PC and PS/PC.

 ITT XTRA XP

*CUSTOMER REPORTS* of INCOMPATIBILITY between this 80286-based
computer and current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards.
This computer operates an 80286 CPU but only an 8bit data bus. We have
reports it was compatible with the discontinued Above Board PC and
     PS/PC.

Tech note: SETBOARD won't work since it has an 8- bit bus and 286 CPU.
One customer reportedly installed the PC Selection plug and ran
SETBOARD in another PC, then put the board back into the XTRA XP, and
it worked for expanded memory after manually installing the AB
Software. We haven't confirmed that this can work.

 KAMMERMAN LABS XT

*CUSTOMER REPORTS* of compatibility between these XT-Compatible
computers and current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards.
There are also reports of comptibility with the discontinued Above
     Board PC and PS/PC.

 KAYPRO PC

*CUSTOMER REPORTS* of compatibility between these 8088-based computers
and current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards. We also
have reports of compatibility with the discontinued Above Board 286 and
PS/286. There are reports of compatibility between 4.77MHz models of
the Kaypro PC and the discontinued Above Board PC and Above Board
     PS/PC.

The original model Kaypro PC is a 4.77MHz system and cannot run at
8MHz. This system requires the 4.77 MHz 8087. If you are having
trouble installing EMM, check the switches on the "combo-controller"
board to see if the memory is configured as 640Kb. There are two
switch blocks on this board. Switch block 1, switches 1-4 should be
set ON ON OFF OFF respectively.

The new model of the Kaypro PC is switchable from 4.77 to 8MHz,
requires the 8087-2 math coprocessor, and may need to have switches 1-4
set to ON ON ON OFF respectively. You can differentiate between "old"
and "new" Kaypro PC's by the speed switch. The older model doesn't have
     one!

System has sockets for 128Kb of "DOS usable memory" above 640Kb. This
memory may conflict with memory that the Above Board needs for its page
     frame address.

 LEADING EDGE MODEL D

*CUSTOMER REPORTS* of compatibility with current Above Boards and
Matched Memory Classic boards. Also have reports of compatibility with
the discontinued Above Board 286 & PS/286. There are reports that the
discontinued Above Board PC and PS/PC will only work in this system
when it is operating at 4.77MHz.

The new Model D has a turbo switch, can run at 4.77 or 7.16Mhz. It has
a 640K motherboard. Intel memory boards will not backfill conventional
memory. User must fill all 640K on motherboard.

computer was set to the 4.77MHz speed only.

This older model runs at 4.77MHz and 7.16MHz.

Panasonic has said that we are compatible.

We have not tested the Matched Memory Classic board in this system and

 PANASONIC SR. PARTNER

This machine has no IBM compatible expansion slots, however there is a
'slot extender' expansion chassis available. Customers report problems
getting Above Boards to work in the slot extender. We have not tested
the Matched Memory Classic with this slot extender and have had no
customer reports concerning its compatibility with this slot extender.

In 1986 Panasonic said they had a new revision of the slot extender
that did work with Above Boards. We have had no customer reports of
     compatibility with this slot extender.

 PC'S LIMITED TURBO PC

Current Above Boards and Matched Memory Classic boards will *NOT* work
in this machine in the TURBO mode. They work fine when the machine is
operated at 4.77 Mhz, but switching to the high speed causes various
errors to occur such as Parity Check?????. This has been confirmed by
     both PC's Limited and Intel.
