This utility converts quotes that are file saved using
Prodigy's Quote Track(sm) and Quote Check(sm) for direct
import to Quicken(tm) or your favorite spreadsheet.
The program also keeps track of portfolio totals and several
 key performance measures.

The program correctly converts all types of stock or mutual
fund quotes and saves them to your Quicken or spreadsheet directory
in a file named "P". Other than a simple menu selection in this
program and a couple of simple keystrokes in Quicken everything
is completely automatic after you save your quotes in Prodigy.
This program also creates an optional batch file for your use.
This batch file loads Prodigy, then loads this utility followed
by Quicken automatically saving you a lot of time.

                          Installation

This program is set up to run on a hard drive.

The program will work with Quicken 4 or 5 and most major
 spreadsheets.

If starting from A: drive type INSTALL A
If starting from B: drive type INSTALL B
Experienced users can simply create a directory on your hard drive
named PMP and copy all the files on the program disk to this directory.

                             Setup

The first time you run the conversion utility it will ask you
for some basic information on the location of your program
directories. If you will be using this in association with Quicken
or a spreadsheet you will need to know the names of the directories
these program are in. And the directory where Prodigy is located.
If you don't know the answer to these type the following at the DOS
prompt. In DOS type CD\ then type TREE>PRN to print out a directory
 structure of your hard disk.

You will be ask the following 4 questions in the program.

 1) Directory to save converted quotes:

Type in the name of your Quicken or spreadsheet directory here.
(This is the directory were your Quicken program is located -
not the version of Quicken. Quicken5 users who upgraded from
prior versions may have directory names of QUICKEN3 or
  QUICKEN4 etc.)

Note: If you're using a spreadsheet instead of Quicken type
your spreadsheet program directory here. Example: '123

If you don't want to save the converted data to any external
programs type the word NONE here.

2) Program name to load from batch file:

Enter the name of the program you load from the directory
answered in question 1 that will load the converted quotes.

   For Quicken enter Q.EXE
   For Lotus enter '123.EXE
   For Quattro Pro enter Q.EXE
For other spreadsheet enter the .EXE or .COM file the is
   used to load that program.

 3) Prodigy input file directory:
Type in the name of your Prodigy program directory here.

The default "PRODIGY" will most likely be correct here,
unless you requested to change the default directory when
 you installed Prodigy.

 4) Prodigy file to import:
This is the name you give when you request File a Report in
 Prodigy. Prodigy defaults to "QUOTES.TXT"

                       Running the program

Once the program is installed type CD\PMP and then PM to start
the program. You may want to log on to Prodigy and save some
quotes first so you have something to work with. Use Quote Track
or Quote Check to view some quotes the select PRINT and
File a Report options.

After you start the PM program read all the help selections
carefully before using the program. If you find the program
helpful you are asked to register by sending in a fee of $12 + $3 S&H
which will entitle you to latest program disk and notifications
of future updates. See help file for special offer for spreadsheet
