This clever little program (I didn't write it) is based on the fact that
systems of units are linearly related. That is, a quantity expressed in
terms of UNIT1 can be expressed in terms of UNIT2 by multiplying by some
number a and adding some number b. Thus, the file UNIT.DAT is just a comma
delimited file with entries: UNIT1,UNIT2,a,b. The program automatically
generates the inverse relationship. A simple editor is all you need to add
your own UNITS to the list. Then, just cursor down to the item you wish to
convert, enter the quantity, and up will pop the smae quantity in terms of
UNIT2. This program is in the public domain. I make no endorsement of the
company that developed this program.
