REFORMATING: Make your life easy in GeoWrite

One of my favorite fonts is the Shattuck Avenue font. It really prints out nicely and adds a touch of elegance to your work. However, on the screen it can be pretty hard to read.. especially in the smaller font sizes. And there's nothing worse than printing something out and then realizing you've made a mistake, type-O, or spelling error.

Here's a little trick that is so simple but will make your life easier. Click on FONTS and pick the font that is easiest for you to read. Click on SIZES and pick on a size that works for your eyes (I'm pretty nearsighted and go for large print.. there's something for everyone!). It doesn't matter if these are not the fonts and size you want for your finished product. We'll take care of that later. Now just write your document as you normally would. Proofread to make sure there are no errors.

When finished, highlight your text. You can do this either by pointing your mouse at the start and pressing the left button, then dragging to the end and releasing, or by clicking the left button 5 times in very rapid succession. Once your text is highlighted, click on FONTS, pick the font you really want to use when printing our your text. Next, click on SIZES and pick the size you want. Your text will be reformatted for you and you can print it out.

One limitation of this technique is that it is akward if you're dealing with table formatted data. However, if you're writing mostly paragraphs of text, you may want to give it a try.
