HOW TO DOWNLOAD A GEOWORKS FILE
In the Geoworks area there is an extensive software library. You can find upgrades to various Ensemble applications, new and improved drivers, and many files written by members like yourself.

To find the GeoWorks library, do Keyword: Geoworks, then select GeoWorks library from the Geoworks menu. You'll see another menu showing the various libraries available to you:
New Files
Geoworks Files
Beta Tester Art Gallery
Photo Gallery
Driver Files
There's also a message board, an area for you to upload files, and the PKZip/PKUnzip files (if you've never downloaded anything before, you should download these first. Most files online are in compressed format so they can be downloaded more quickly. PKUnzip will unsquish them so you can use them).

First select the file area that you are interested in. You will see a window listing all files in that area. Highlight the one you want. To get some information about it, click on "Get Description". Do download it, click on "Download File". When you do this, you'll see a window displaying your current directory (probably \Geoworks). This is where the file will be saved unless you change it. I prefer saving download files in a different directory called "Download" until I can look at them.

If you wish to change to another directory, click on Geoworks (or the directory displayed at the top of the window as your current path). You will see a list of all other directories on your hard drive. If you click again, you can change drives too. Once you're happy with the path, click on Save. The file will be sent to you. You'll see the progress as a % as it is transferred. When it gets to 100%, there may be a pause. Its tempting to think "I've got it" and hit cancel. Don't do this, wait a moment for the message "the file has been transferred". Then you can click on "OK" and go about your business.

TO DOWNLOAD FILES FROM OTHER AREAS:
If you'd like to download a file in another area (other than GeoWorks) but you're not sure how to find what you're looking for, there's a search utility you can use. (Note: this is not yet available for GeoWorks files). Just do a Keyword: File Search. Specify the library you want to search or you may search them all.
Type in the name of the file you want to find. You may also type in the author's name, or any word that is like the file.

Example (based on question by RichardJ24):
To find ScanV76.ZIP (a virus checker) you may either type Scanv, scanv76, scan, McAfee (author), or virus.
