HOW TO TRACK TIME ONLINE:

In this day and age.. it seems that we're all cash conscious. Here are a few ideas for how to keep track of your time online, use it wisely, and stick to your budget.

1. As you know, you can find out what your bill is up to but NOT including your current screen session. To do this, pick the "What's New & Online Support" icon from the departments menu (or browse the service). Pick 'America Online Rates and Charges". Pick "Current Bill".

2. Time flies when you're having fun and that's particularly true about time on AOL!
Here's an easy way to keep track of time while you're online. At any time, do a Keyword (Ctrl-K or select from the GO TO menu) TIME. This will display the current time and more importantly the elapsed time since you logged on.

3. Special tip with Ensemble...
If you've budgeted a certain amount of time online for your particular session and you want to stay within that limit but don't want to keep thinking about it and checking the time, here's an idea for you. Before logging on, determine the time you want to logoff. Open your GeoPlanner. Select the current day. Scroll through the day until you get to the time you want to logoff. Mouse click to the right of the time you want to logoff and type logoff. Highlight the alarm symbol (the little bell). You can do this just by pointing your mouse at it and clicking the left button. The alarm will go off at the time you specified and will remind you to logoff. This is especially helpful on weekends when you're online during daytime hours.

Keep enjoying GoeWorks and AOL!
