The Home Asset Manager (HAM) is a easy to use application that allows 
you to enter, categorize, and report on various assets in your home.
I wrote this to allow me to keep track of my personal home 
belongings for insurance purposes.

This is a shareware program, and if you find it of use, 
please send $15.00, your name and address, the the address listed below. 
You will then be mailed a registration ID which will disable the 
introductory screens.

INSTALLATION
------------


Make a subdir on your hard disk (or floppy), and copy the ZIP file 
to that location.
Unzip the file. ("PKUNZIP ASSETS11.ZIP")


OPERATION
---------

Change to the subdir where the program is located.
Type "HOME" and press ENTER to start the program.

An introductory registration screen will appear. If you have your 
registration ID, press R and then type in the registration ID. This 
will disable the screen. If you do NOT have your ID yet, then press 
the indicated key to continue. The registration screen will show up 
each time the program is started, and after you have enter about 
30 records the screen will begin displaying in other parts of the system.
This system is fully functional.

The system allows you to define categories for grouping your various items.
There are also various reports that allow you to look at your items 
in different orders or groupings.


KEY INFO
--------
Use the arrow keys to move around all the screens, and the enter key 
to select the highlighted item. 

On the table screens, which show a summary of all the records,
you may press INS to add a record, ENTER to update the highlighted record,
or DEL to delete the highlighed record.

Pressing F2 on the Item data entry form on the category field, 
will give you a lookup selection of all categories. Highlight the 
category and press ENTER to select the category.


Press F1 from any screen for help.
