SetUser is a utility program that will allow a customized configuration of Windows 3.1 for up to four individual users. SetUser is run at Windows startup and asks which of the four users wishes to log in. Setuser will then change parameters in multiple Windows .ini files to suit the needs of that individual user. When that user logs out, another user log in, or Windows terminates, SetUser will optionally record all of the parameters that have changed during that session. SetUser.zip consists of the following files: setuser.exe Executable program setuser.dbf An empty initial database file setuser.ini A default initialization file setuser.doc Installation and operation instructions register.txt Registration instructions qevbdbf.vbx A required library SetUser also requires VBrun200.dll, the runtime .dll of Visual Basic 2.0. This file can be obtained from Compuserve or from any number of bulletin board services. This program is not free. It is shareware. You are granted a limited license to use this software for a 30-day trial period. If you find it useful and wish to continue to use it past the initial 30-day period, you must register it. Registration instructions may be found in register.txt. Registration may be made by mail or by Compuserve's on-line registration service. The registration fee of $15.00 entitles the user to online support through Compuserve or Internet, and to notification of upgrades and fixes. This program may be freely distributed as long as it is accompanied by all of the files listed above in an unaltered state.
