330 N 13th St. - 385-0909 - Open from 10:30am to 1:30pm - Managed by the Las
Vegas Housing Authority, has no new name yet. Meals are prepared and delivered
by the Senior Nutrition Program and served at 11:30am - Cost is $1.25 for
adults 60 and older, and $3.00 for those under 60. Spanish and English are
spoken.

EOB CENTER
330 W.Washington Ave. - 647-2536 - This center offers social activities,
services in health and education, low cost meals, has a thrift shop and is the
HQ for the Senior and Handicapped Transportation Program. Also the Foster
Grandparents Program is available through EOB, which offers seniors the
opportunity to help a child who is mentally retarded, emotionally handicapped,
neglected or abused. Small stipend offered.

CANNON CENTER
340 N.11th St. - 366-1522 - Centralized services for seniors. Loans on
walkers, wheelchairs, crutches, canes and hearing aids.
The following services can be accessed through the Center: -Las Vegas Housing
Authority, -American Association of Retired Persons, -Cannon Senior Medical
Center, -Catholic Community Services of Nevada, -Clark County
Guardian/Administrator Representative Payeeship Program, -Clark County Social
Services, -Nevada State Welfare, -Patient Billing Specialists, -City of Las
Vegas Senior Citizens Law Project. Appointments are necessary.
Other special services are at the Center are: renewal of Nevada Driver
Licenses or ID's issued by the DMV the first Monday of each month; vision
screening (exams for possible diseases only, NOT for prescription glasses)
every other Thursday; and the sale of CAT monthly passes and tokens.

DERFELT CENTER
3333 W.Washington Ave. - 229-6601 - Ongoing activities from 8am to 4pm,
weekdays for adults 55 and older. Also at this Center: Meeting of
T.O.P.S.(Take Off Pounds Sensibly) every Thursday at 9am, with feature guest
speakers, literature and weigh-ins.- 363-2126 -
Activities and classes at the Center include: table tennis, ballroom dancing,
chair exercise, bingo, sewing and stitching and sketching.

HOLLYHOCK CENTER
380 N.Maryland Pkwy. - 382-0588 - Operated by the EOB,the Hollyhock Adult Day
Care Center has programs available to meet specific needs of elderly and
impaired individuals. The Center specializes in care for the Alzheimer's
patient.

KATHERINE CENTER
580 E.St.Louis - At Reformation Lutheran Church - 732-2054 - Open from 9am to
12:30pm weekdays. Some of the activities are: Mondays: free blood pressure
check and hair cuts, bingo and card games. Wednesdays: bingo and cars games.
Thursdays: card games. Fridays: live music. Meals are served at 11:30am Monday
through Friday. Reservations required one day in advance. Some classes at the
Center: square dancing, quilting, French, cribbage, knitting and crocheting,
needlepoint and granny square.
