				    CNP #2
			  Copyright Matt Butler 1994

CNP is a multi-media magazine, incorporating sound, graphics and text.
It is a DOS .exe file distributed in compressed form. It requires VGA and
a mouse. A Soundblaster is optional (That's right CNP now has SB
sound! Read on...)

There were some BBS's who had problems with CNP being a
self-extractor, so from here on out it will be distributed as a
normal .zip file.

The file's that make up CNP #2 are:
*IMPORTANT* cnp02.zip The archive in which CNP #2 is distributed.
*IMPORTANT* cnp2.exe The actual magazine.
*IMPORTANT* readme.txt This file.

CNP #2 should be uncompressed with PKZip V. 204g.

Once the file is uncompressed, you run the magazine
		by typing:
*IMPORTANT* cnp2.exe

The magazine takes a few seconds to load. A small watch
icon should appear on your screen. If you have a slower
machine, you will get very used to seeing this icon.

CNP now features Soundblaster sound. In order to hear the
audio portions of CNP, you must have a Soundblaster
compatible card, installed on your computer. If you do not
have a Soundblaster card installed on your computer and it
freezes when you try and load the magazine, this may be
because of an interrupt conflict. Try restarting the
		magazine, this time by typing:

*IMPORTANT* cnp2.exe /B

	Hot Tip:
Use the Table of Contents. Once a file is loaded into
memory it will display much faster. So after you open the magazine,
the first page you will see is the Table of Contents. After reading
an article, flip back to the TC rather than just flipping ahead. Since
you have already looked at the TC it will display much faster. Of
course you can look at the magazine just about anyway you like. This
is merely a suggestion for those with slower machines.

It has been my intention to make CNP as accesible as possible,
I hope this covers everything and that it has seemed as simple as we've tried
to keep it.

Finally we have two requests. If you like CNP please distribute
it too whoever wants it, in it's complete unaltered form. Whether you love
CNP or hate it please let us know. We would like to hear what you think.
Please drop by the CNP BBS and leave a [C]omment to Sysop or from the message
menu, pick [A] Letter Bombs. Thanks.
