                      PERSONAL NUMEROLOGIST, VERSION 2.13S

                   INSTALLATION AND QUICK START INSTRUCTIONS

       INTRODUCTION

This easy-to-use shareware program produces surprisingly accurate,
in-depth personality reports based on names and birth dates.
Professional looking reports run 6 to 8 pages and reveal the most
intimate traits and desires for yourself, friends, family, lovers
and even co-workers. The program uses advanced techniques to
integrate all related numbers, similar to what professional
numerologists do when performing personal readings. By going
beyond the simple "cookbook" approach as used by other programs,
reports are surprisingly accurate and relevant.

Each report includes detailed descriptions of the Life Path,
Expression, Soul Urge, Birthday, Master Numbers, Repeated Numbers,
Karmic Debts, Karmic and Modified Karmic Lessons and Intensity
Points. The program is the work of Matthew Oliver Goodwin, the
highly respected numerologist and author of the definitive,
"Numerology: The Complete Guide." An earlier version of Personal
Numerologist was offered in the Selective Software catalog.

       PRINTING README AND DOCUMENTATION FILES

To print this readme file on a printer connected to port LPT1:,
enter the following command from the DOS prompt:

            README

After running the INSTALL program described below, you can make a
printed copy of the User's Manual by entering the command:

            PNMANUAL

and you can make a printed copy of our Product Catalog of related
numerology software and books by entering the command:

            CATALOG

The Personal Numerologist program consists of about 34 files that
are shipped in compressed format. In addition, there are another 9
files that are compressed for the program User's Manual and
Catalog. An INSTALL program is included to decompress these files.
(The file PACKING.LST contains a complete listing of the contents
of the program after decompressing.) In addition, the following

                                        1

documentation files should be separately included on the
       distribution disk:

README Installation and quick start text file
README. BAT Batch file to print README file
VENDOR. DOC Distribution information text file
WHATSNEW.DOC Text file detailing program changes
PACKING. LST Text file listing all required files

NOTE: If you obtained this program through a BBS, it was probably
in ZIP format as NUMROLGY.ZIP. In this case all the files
are contained in NUMROLGY.ZIP instead. The PACKING.LST file
gives a complete list of the files you should have after
              UNZIPPING this file.

The following installation instructions only apply if you
received Personal Numerologist on a diskette. If you
downloaded the program from a BBS, just UNZIP the files and
enter PN from the DOS prompt to start.

       INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

An installation program is provided to simplify the setup of
Personal Numerologist. If you are using a hard disk, this program
will decompress and copy all files from the original diskette into
the sub-directory \PN. If you are working on either a dual or
single floppy disk based system, the installation program will
make a working set of diskette(s) for you to use.

To begin the installation, make sure you are at the DOS prompt
(exit Windows or any DOS Shell program that you may be in.) Next,
insert the Personal Numerologist disk into floppy drive A or B.
Then go to this drive by typing A: or B: followed by ENTER.
       Finally, type in the command:

            INSTALL

       and press the ENTER key.

Two screens of information appear that give complete instructions
on using the INSTALL program. The second screen is reached by
pressing any key after reading the first screen. The second screen
contains the actual command line syntax that needs to be entered.

After reading the two screens of instructions, re-enter INSTALL
with the appropriate command line options to begin the actual
       installation process.

For example, to copy all the files from the Personal Numerologist
disk in drive A to hard disk drive C, enter the command:

                                        2

            INSTALL A C

As a second example, to copy all the files from the Personal
Numerologist disk in drive A to a 3.5 inch floppy disk in drive B,
       enter the command:

            INSTALL A B 3

The program will prompt you whenever you need to do something.

NOTE: If you prefer not to use the INSTALL program, you can copy
all the files into an empty sub-directory using the DOS Copy
command instead. Then execute the two self-extracting files,
CPDISK1.EXE and CPDISK2.EXE. Once all the program and
documentation files are extracted, delete CPDISK1.EXE and
CPDISK2.EXE. Use this method if you want to install the
             program into a sub-directory other then \PN.

After the installation is completed, start Personal Numerologist
by entering the following command from the DOS prompt:

            PN

The first time you run Personal Numerologist answer Y to the first
       program prompt:

            "Do you want INSTRUCTIONS (Y/N)?"

This will give you enough information to successfully use the
program without reading the manual. When you are ready, the manual
will provide additional information that may be helpful.

       SHAREWARE AND HOW IT WORKS

Personal Numerologist is distributed as a Shareware program.
Shareware is software which is provided to you on a "try before
you buy" basis. It is not free software! We request registration
fees from those who try this program and decide they will continue
to use it. (We do not receive payments from retail stores, disk
vendors or BBSs who you may have already paid a small
"distribution" fee to for the program diskette or downloaded
files.) Because we do not have to pay the high cost of
advertising, the fees we charge for registration are modest in
comparison to commercially available programs. This fee also
allows us to develop new programs that may be of interest to you.

With Personal Numerologist you have the convenience of trying out
the complete program to decide if you want to keep it. This is not
a crippled or demo copy, but the complete working version of the
program. Only if you are satisfied and continue to use the program
do you need to pay for it. You are encouraged to copy the Personal

                                        3

Numerologist diskette and share it freely with others.

After you have used Personal Numerologist for a reasonable
evaluation period (not to exceed 60 days) you must either stop
using it or buy a registered copy from Widening Horizons. The
       registered copy costs $39 (U.S. funds) plus $5 shipping/handling
for U.S. and Canada and $10 shipping/handling for all other
countries. Registration gives you a LEGAL LICENSE to continue
using the program beyond the 60 day evaluation period as well as
       the following valuable benefits:

o The most current version of Personal Numerologist containing
the latest features that have been added, and without the
          shareware reminders.

influences and opportunities that affect you each year.

program algorithms used in Personal Numerologist as well as the
highly acclaimed, two volume set, "Numerology: The Complete
          Guide.")
o A $30 credit towards the purchase of Numerologist Report

screen is reached after you exit the program. An order form is
also included in the CATALOG.DOC file which can be printed by
