                            June 1994

Compiled by Patti Johnson of The Alaska Pirate Society BBS (907-562-9364).
Permission is granted for any individual, organization or bulletin board
to use, copy, or redistribute providing the document is not tampered with
in any fashion.

This is a detailed listing of all systems located in the State of
Alaska. The descriptions below reflect current available information
regarding the BBS. If there are any changes or deletions to this list,
please contact the author at the aforementioned bulletin board system,
or through Anchorage Net or the Alaska Information Network. Information
may also be submitted by mail using the attached form, or through the
Internet by e-mailing CLOTHO@FRED.COM. If I have some of the information
wrong, I will be happy to correct it. Entries may be edited for clarity,
consistency, and whatever I feel like on any given morning.

This list is available on The Alaska Pirate Society and may also be
found on other BBS's around the Anchorage, Alaska area. I hope this list
will be of some use to the BBS user and to the local Sysops.

A shortened version of this list, suitable for posting as a bulletin, is
included for the convenience of any sysop wishing to use it as such.

All systems listed below can be reached by using area code (907), and
are accessible using 8 Data Bits, No Parity, 1 Stop Bit (unless
otherwise noted).

My thanks to the Sysops who run all these boards. They put in a great
deal of time, effort and lots of their own money so that others may
share their hobby.

COMMENTS: Dedicated to finding you an electronic pen-pal in Alaska,

           Date-a-Base. Multi-Line Holodeck Chat. MUSH (Multi-User
Shared Hallucination). After filling out a rather lengthy
questionaire, you can run the matchmaking utility to find
someone compatible to correspond with. During my brief visit,
this bbs appeared to have some interesting features. I did see
a note that said something about a free trial period. I'm not
sure just yet how long the trial period lasts, or what the charges
might be after that period. NOTE: When you connect, hit <ENTER>
           three times for "login" prompt!
