     ASSIS Is Special Interest Groups Formed To Promote The Hobby Of
     Operating Electronic Bulletin Boards On IBM(tm) Compatible Computers.
     ASSIS Provides Various Forums For Discussing Issues Of Interest To
     Operators Of Bulletin Boards, And A Means Whereby System Operators    
     May Exchange Freeware And Shareware Programs, Files And Utilities 
     Used To Operate Bulletin Board Systems.  The Organization Exists 
     Only In Cyber-Space And As Such Has No Meetings, No Officers, No 
     Elections, No Political Gyrations And No BS.

     Membership Is Free For 24 Hour Bulletin Board Operators Whose Boards
     Operate at 9600 Baud Or Better Who Are Not Currently Members Of A
     Competitive System Operator's Organization Such As The Online Atlanta
     Society (OAS).  Members Of OAS Or Other Competitive Organizations Are
     Also Invited To Join ASSIS.  All That Is Required Is A Photocopy Of
     The Front And Back Of A Cancelled Check Evidencing A $53.75 Donation
     To A Favorite Charitable Organization.
