**************** GUI Group Magazine!*******************

I believe that this is the first ever User's Group Magazine in
true (digital paper) format. We hope to publish an electronic
re-print of each quarterly hard copy magazine about thirty
days after our members have received the paper issue.

This electronic version has been published with consideration to
it's being run on a variety of platforms, so aesthetics have
suffered to allow for viewing at color levels from the generic
SVGA driver that accompanies Windows up to drivers that allow
16.7 million colors. However, I strongly recommend using
800x600 and something above 256 colors for best viewing.

GW2TMF-1.ZIP expands into this read1st file, and a 1,959k
GW2TMF-1.EXE file. After unzipping, just RUN the resulting
GW2TMF-1.EXE file under Windows, and the magazine will appear on
your screen.

While you may print the file, it does require a LARGE TEMP file
that it uses as a print buffer, so be sure you have available
disk space. (In one earlier test run, the temp file was 40 Megs.
Of course, it dissapears after the printing is finished.)

I would be remiss if I didn't give some thanks along with the
magazine. Thanks are due to: Gateway 2000 for sponsoring the GUI
Group by paying for the printing and mailing costs for the hard
copy of the magazine; Cyndy Lloyd of Gateway 2000 for her
tireless work in helping me get this magazine off the ground;
Bob Nick, Walter Arnold, Phil Teitelbaum, Louis Forte' and Mike
Tichon for their help in proof reading and recruiting; No Hands
Software for their great Common Ground program, and last, but
certainly not least, Mike Goetz for his help in getting this
magazine into your hands.

If you have comments or suggestions please E-Mail me at
FPJA02A@prodigy.com, or pass them on through Mike Goetz.

Thanks,
