(2) Cheat Mode

    Activating:
When the LucasArts logo appears when the game is starting up
(right after joystick configuration), do the following with
                 your joystick: UP+FIRE, DOWN+FIRE, LEFT+FIRE, RIGHT+FIRE,
UP+FIRE, DOWN+FIRE. Press the direction and the fire button
at the same time. If you did it right, a bell will ring and
a voice will say "Lucas Arts".

Jumping Levels: Press the number on your keyboard that corresponds to the
level you want to go to. Press 2 for Level 2, and so on.
For levels above 9, press the hexadecimal number that is
equivalent to the decimal number you want to go to. A
                     for 10, B for 11, C for 12, D for 13, etc.

God Mode: During a mission, pressing the + key will reset your ships
damage to zero. You can use this over and over to completely
finish the game with the same pilot.

Cut-Scenes: Pressing the ESCAPE key jumps to the next cut-scene.

(3) Joystick/Control Problems:
Download the REB17.ZIP file from LucasArts BBS (415 257-3070). Emory & Henry
BBS (703 944-4121 extension 3861) users can get the file from the HINTS
directory. Unzip the file and type INSTALL to transfer the correct patch
files to your C:\REBEL directory. From then on, start the game from your
hard drive by changing to the C:\REBEL directory and typing REBEL. You
cannot start directly from the CD drive to play the game with the patch.

(4) Problems with the DOS extenders:
If you are lucky enough to have 16 or more megabytes of memory, the patch
file described above also contains a DOS extender that may be more
compatible with your computer. Install it by typing REBEL2 from the
directory you unzipped the patch into. See above for more information.

(5) Lighting Problems:
Rebel Assault may seem too dark on some monitors. To fix the problem, get
the patch file described above and install it for whichever other problem
you might have. Then, when playing the game the , and . keys lighten and
  darken the screen.

NOTE: The Rebel Assault patch file contains some more information about
using the patch. Type README from the directory you unzipped the
         patch into for more information.

I hope this file helps you to enjoy and beat Rebel Assault.
