II. Introduction

Congratulations for downloading Excel Vocab. EV is the latest
of the Excel Progs line of excellent products for the IBM(c)/clone
computers, and like all EP products, it is backed by full support.

Excel Vocab is a small, easy to install program that will allow you
to see a new "word of the day" every time you enter Windows. A
nice graphics display will be shown containing a new word, definition
of the said word, and its example in a sentence. As you cycle through
the various vocabulary, you should gain a better knowledge of the
English language.

III. What You Need

In order to use Excel Vocab, you need the following:

o MS-Windows 3.1 or higher
o VBRUN300.DLL (found at many fine BBS's and distribution networks)

IV. Running Excel Vocab

In order to run EV, you need to copy, unpack,..etc the files you
received. Get VBRUN300.DLL from your distribution site (or The Other
World BBS), and place it to your Windows directory. Add the EV
icon to your program manager or equivalent (or just run it straight
using your pm's run command).

If you wish EV to run every time you boot Windows (the recommended
setup), place EV in the STARTUP group. If you do not have a startup
group, make one, with the group filename being STARTUP.GRP.

EV. will execute. You should see a blue display with the vocabulary
word in cursive, followed by the definition and word example.
If you have a minute, look over the word, say it in your mind, and
perhaps practice using the word in your own sentence. Clicking on
the button shall allow you to exit the program, or you may wish
to keep the window on the screen for future reference.

By double-clicking on the EP logo, you will be brought to the "About"
box, mentioning the author and the support board.
