                        EKG SCREEN SAVER, ver. 1.0

INSTALLATION
Copy the files EKGSS.SCR and RHYTHMS.DLL to the "Windows"
directory (e.g., \windows) of Microsoft Windows 3.1. From the
Windows "Control Panel" (in "Main" group), run the "Desktop"
setup applet. From the "Name" list box under the "Screen Saver"
section, select "EKG". If "EKG" does not appear in the list, the
files have not been correctly copied to the Windows directory.

N.B. Windows MUST be able to locate RHYTHMS.DLL in order for the
screen saver to work.

CONFIGURATION
To configure the software, select the "Setup" button under the
"Screen Saver" section. You can specify the prognosis for each
of five patients. Or you can just instruct the software to
select a "random" rhythm for each patient.

Select "Color highlight tracings" to enable color syntax
highlighting of the various rhythms. The colors range as
follows:

     GREEN: normal condition
PURPLE: not normal condition, but no intervention required
     YELLOW: abnormal condition, intervention required
     RED: life-threatening condition

Select "Erase screen after sweep" to blank the screen after each
complete screen sweep. Select this option if you are to employ
the software for screen saver purposes for any length of time.
Note, however, that the software is NOT intended for use as a
screen saver over long periods of time.

Finally, "Password Protect" and "Set Password" options are
provided for password protecting the screen saver. Their use is
self evident.
