Color separations are made on the DS America 608 scanner directly into
the 10-track Scitex system. Low-res EPS images are provided for page
layout. Preliminary color correction is performed on the Scitex imager
and proofed on the actual paper stock, using the Kodak Approval digital
color proofing system. Composed Quark XPress pages are converted to
PostScript and ripped via the Scitex Universal Gateway to the Scitex
system's Micro Assembler, where the EPS images are automatically
replaced with color corrected, high resolution scans. Composed digital
proofs are submitted for final approval. Final film is plotted on an
Eray. Printed on a Harris-Heidelberg M-1000 web press.

WIRED WEAR
**********

Jog on the information highway in well-wired style. a
Bill (left) favors the executive model, featuring the Wired logo
designed by John Plunkett in florescent red. His friend Al prefers the
more flamboyant, Nick Philip-creation, the"Otaku-tee" (with logo on
back). Choose any color you like, as long as it's black. All models are
100% heavy cotton.

Meanwhile, Boris keeps a cool head with Wired's premium-quality baseball
cap. It's sturdily constructed of cotton twill, embroidered with the
Wired logo on front and "Get Wired" on the back, for those who prefer to
wear their hats to keep the sun off their necks.
