-- Purpose

The DECHEX utility is designed to be a quick way of converting decimal numbers
to hexadecimal notation, and vice versa from the DOS command line. DECHEX
automatically detects what notation the given number is in and automatically
converts it into the opposite notation and displays the result. The original
purpose for this utility is to aid in patching and searching programs for
specific byte values.

-- Requirements

DECHEX requires only 64k of memory, any display adapter and monitor, and DOS
3.1 or later. DECHEX is not a TSR, so it does not occupy any memory after it
has been used.

-- Use

For complete instructions about how to use DECHEX, load the DECHEX program
help by typing DECHEX /? at the command prompt.
