QUICK INSTRUCTIONS:

*******BOOK:

Book displays ASCII files. Type BOOK.DOC at the prompt to activate the
program and display its documentation. For more information, press "A"
during the program to call up the menu. Or, you can type BOOK /? when
you return to the prompt for help.

*******CHECKSUM:

Included with this .ZIP pack is another program I have written: CHECKSUM.
Checksum is a freeware utility I developed and decided some people out there
might find it useful. It is small but powerful (when used right). Run
RUNME1ST.BAT before you attempt to use the program. The batch file, which
also has several REM lines of explanation, merely renames the CHECKSUM files,
which have been renamed so I could upload these programs to places that
evidentally have files called "Checksum" already.

Because of the unique nature of Checksum, I would like many people to use
it--as many as possible. Therefore, put these three files in a .ZIP
(preferred) archive for uploading:

                         CHECKSUM.EXE
                         CHECKSUM.DOC
                         CHECKSUM.321

Please note that you should NOT include this file, Read1st, or any other
file in this archive, since they are not a part of CHECKSUM. Furthermore,
delete RunMe1st.BAT after you use it. It is not a formal part of Checksum
and has no reason being here other than getting Checksum to you without
dealing with "duplicate filename detected" messages from bulletin boards
around the country.
