1994 07 17

Here are two versions of an HF-SSB database, consisting mainly
of aviation stations and services. One is in Lotus 1-2-3 WK1
format, the other in ASCII.

NEW: Since issuing AIRJUL94 earlier this month, I found a way
to make an ASCII file without the blank lines Lotus 1-2-3 makes
when you print to ASCII.

NEW: I added several amateur-radio and other hurrican frequen-

cies, compiled by KF2TI from the Salvation Army Team Emer
gency Radio Network Newsletter, updated to July 1994.

I started this file for my own use circa 1987 and update it at
least once a month. From time to time I post it on CRS Online
(CRSO, a commercial BBS) and Nortown (a radio-amateur BBS),
both in Toronto.

My sources include posts in Fidonet Conference F-1292 Short
wave, followed at a distance by Popular Communications Maga
zine, and my own monitoring. I do not copy frequencies from
commercial frequency lists such as the good Gilfer's Confidential
Frequency List and Klingenfuss.

Since you read this so far, please send me:

A one-liner stating where you found this file. I have long
wondered how far files sent to CRSO travel.

     Corrections:

Before suggesting 1-KHz frequency corrections based
on your own monitoring, make sure your receiver
read-out is accurate to, say, within 0.2 KHz.

Make doubly sure before reporting SSB frequencies in
          other than even KHz.

Suggested deletions. These are especially welcome. Any
fool can compile a frequency list. It takes a genius to
prove a negative. I have modest aspirations in that
direction, and I need all the help I can get.

Also state if you want the enclosed ASCII version. That applies
to people not using a spreadsheet program that can read Lotus
1-2-3 files with the WK1 extension.

Thanks,

Sandy
