Most PC applications require &C1&D2 to work, Macs need &C1&D0 usually.
This allows the modem to connect correctly, and hang up when the carrier is
lost. There is one other alternative you can try, if you want the modem re-
set after the call. &D3. This is the same as &d2, plus it does an 'ATZ'
(soft reset) to the modem when it hangs up.
You may store the parameters you want with the &W command. You set the
parameters then do AT&W, or put the setup in the string AT&C1&D3xxxxxxx&W.
When you do the &W the modem SPEED, parity, stop bits are also saved. So
each time the modem is reset, it will return all your settings including
speed, parity etc..

There is a note with the LC (Low Current) modems that the &D results change
with the &Q setting. This is not true, as the LC modems do not support
Syncronus mode.
