LEAGUE RULES, REGULATIONS AND OTHER STUFF.

First, let me thank all of you who are ACTUALLY volunteering your time
to support this league. It is important to note that so few people have
expressed an interest that I myself have taken control of a team,
Graceland, so that we could have a half-and-half human-computer league.
   Thank you.

*******Also, to those reading this who do not belong to the league, you
may volunteer to take over any of the computer-run teams at any time
during the season. Just drop me, Paul Kugelmass, a message.

Let me deal with each of the league functions:

   1) ACTUALLY PLAYING GAMES

In order to play a game, as you probably already know, the program
creates a file called "GAMExxyy.IN" The "xxyy" represents the game/week
numbers. This file will be UUENCODED or UPLOADED to the home team's
owner by the commisioner. ALSO uploaded to the home team's owner is a
game plan/coaching profile from the visiting team. This allows the
visitors to be somewhat accurately represented.
With both of these files in your game directory, the home team opens
the game by typing HIKE -XP at the prompt. Once the game is completed,
the game will produce a "GAMExxyy.OUT" file which is to be UUENCODED or
UPLOADED to the commissioner, and will then be integrated into the league
   files.

IF the home team happens to be a computer-controlled team, then the
visiting team will have the CHOICE of playing the game or allowing the
game to be simulated by the computer.

A note on cheating: It is possible to cheat by quitting a game and
deleting the savegame files if you are losing. PLEASE DON'T DO THIS!
THERE IS ANOTHER PERSON WANTING A FAIR CHANCE JUST AS MUCH AS YOU DO!
(AND I DON'T THINK THE COMPUTER WOULD APPRECIATE IT MuCH EITHER) If I
somehow figure out that you've been doing this, well...

   2) TRADES

There will be one week of free roster moves (until Thursday, March
   24) where all types of trades will be allowed: 1-for-2, 2-for-5, as long
as the appropriate number of players are signed/released from your
   rosters.
In order for a trade to be legal, I must receive the following:
A message from BOTH owners containing: Team, name and position of
player(s) to be sent, team, name and position of player(s) to be received
and some sort of statement like: "I accept this here trade thing... yeah."

   3) FREE AGENT SIGNINGS

Check out the FREE AGENT ROSTER, and send me a message containing
the following: Team, name and position of player to be released (if any)
and position and name of player to be "signed".

   4) DEPTH CHART AND OTHER ROSTER MOVES

To alter a depth chart, you will need to only send me a message
containing the new depth chart. (It is advisable to add this to a free
agent signing, so that I know where to put him on your roster.)
To place a player on Injured Reserve, you will need to give me the
name and position of the player to be assigned to IR, and the name and
position of the player to fill the roster spot.

   5) THE TEAMS

In order to conduct business with other teams, you should send mail to:

   New York: Eddie Pozzebon
   Toronto: Nick Zentena
   Graceland: Paul Kugelmass
Nesteria: Paul Kugelmass (and put the word "MIKE" in the subject line,
actual owner's name is Mike Tissenbaum.)
All other teams: Paul Kugelmass (all other teams are computer controlled
so specify which team you wish to cunduct business with...)

Please send mail as PRIVATE mail in Conference 11, Gaming.

OKAY, you have until Thursday, March 24th, so go to it.

I have enclosed: The Free Agent Draft Pool, the League Schedule,
the Draft Summary, the Setup of the Divisions and the rosters of
   all current teams.

HAVE FUN!
