I don't care if he is moving. He arranged these trades in EARLY
DECEMBER. 2 months ago. He told us he would use 2-day delivery.
He should have had the tapes made when he made the offer. Even if
he didn't, does it really take 2 months to make one tape. If he
was moving, when would he set up a ton of trades? The whole
situation
is just stupid, and he screwed a lot of people over. I would be
satisfied if my tapes do come in the future, but still, he totally
deceived a lot of people making us think it would be a "QUICK, EASY,
TRADE" as he advertised.

-Gordo

Hey Shit Happens and a detailed explaination was given as to why it
happened. Give the guy a break, you will occassionally get burned on
a trade believe it or not, sometimes its for a legitimate reason, as
we have learned in this case. If your so hard up for one tape that
you have to bitch to the entire net about it e-mail me and I'll
gladly spin you a whole show, but its time all this bad trader crap
is stopped. Whenever possible get a phone number and give the person
your trading with a call if you have the extra coin. This saves
time, reduces confusion, and if you do get burned life goes on.
Start with a small trade so if you do get burned its not so bad, the
point is get to know who your trading with before you send out
4-6-8-10 rapes, I mean tapes for a trade. If your afraid to risk
losing 2 tapes than trading is not for you. Remember 99% of the time
you will get your tapes. Sorry to waste the width but it just seems
like every other post is about a bad trader lately.

I had a really nice 7/8/94 set I which I am supposed to copy for someone
I'm trading with. Well, when I went to copy it, I heard the radio!
Somehow the show got taped over. If anyone has this set and can do a
quick trade so I can finish the other trade, please let me know. Thanks.

Was 10/20 better than Gainesville Harry ? That was the most out
there one I have seen - 15 minutes or longer, the jam took me to some
dark-star like spaces, and was better than Atlanta in spring or
Spartanburg. I thought it was the highlight of the free show.

Onthebus gaves us an interesting quotation from Seal about mistaken
lyrics. Seal doesn't include liner lyrics so people can have their own
interpretation of his words...

That's funny cause I always thought Phish was singing "If you dreaded
grammar school, please wipe it from you shoes" in Cavern, when I found out
that they were singing about "treading in primal soup."

Also, I always thought "Wilson King of Pressure" was "Wilson, The Oppressor!"

Any others, there must be a few out there. Quick reply will do...

Or is that Wilson, King of Prussia?

Recently, the Greenville NC based band Purple Schoolbus played at my
school, Regis University in Denver. They're a jam-based band and have a
sound VERY reminiscent of Phish. Since I work at the campus radio
station, I was present for their interview and hung out with them after
the show (a 35 minute jam on Pink Floyd's "Echoes") and they seemed very
interested in my stories of the Phabulous Phish Net. I talked
extensively with their sound guy, Squirrel, about getting more tapes of
their shows and hook people up with them on the Internet to get their
sound out and get them wider listener response. They're stoked.
At this point I only have their New Year's Eve show and their CD. I'd be
more than happy to spin these for anyone who's interested / curious.
Soon, I'll have more and, if response is good, I can maybe start a tree
or just a series of Purple Newbie offers.

If you'd like to get a taste of 'em, their CD is 60 minutes with no
convenient break at 30 and the new year's is a 90. I've got a high
quality Pioneer dubbing deck that was just recalibrated in the fall, so I
can make some damned fine tapes of a damned fine band.

Send e-mail to chess@netcom.com and I'll hook you up with my address.
I'm anxious to get their sound around, and satisfaction is not only
guaranteed but inevitable. By the way, the band said that to get people
interested I could spin tapes from their CD, but asks that, if you like
it, to please purchase the CD so they don't go broke. I trust all of
those for whom I make tapes to be honest and support a fine, up and
coming band.

P.S. The only thing I am getting out of this is a stream of fresh music
from their tour.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Yeah, would people just chill out! There will be no shows until at least
June. Obviously they will not be announced for quite a while, we're
talking about Summer here, and were not even close to Spring. Hell, we're
all anxious, but enough with all the pleadings for tour dates! Of course,
the dates will be mentioned by Shelly, and we may hear about a show here
or there on the radio, so let's just wait and stop wasting the net! Geez.
