After unarcing, you will have 4 files: README.TXT This file SAMPLE.RFT A sample DCA/RFT document. RFTTOWW.PRG HISOFT Basic DCA/RFT to WordWriter-ST program. WWTORFT.PRG HISOFT Basic WordWriter-St to DCA/RFT program. DCA/RFT (Document Content Architecture/Revisable Form Text) is a standard word processing format that can be created and read by many IBM-PC compatible word processors such as DisplayWrite IV, Professional Write, Word Perfect, and many others. This standard format allows different word processors to exchange documents while retaining all the formatting such as bold face, underline, italics, etc. To convert a DCA/RFT file to WordWriter-ST double click on RFTTOWW.PRG. The first file selector allows you to select a DCA/RFT file (extension .RFT). The second file selector uses the same .RFT file name with a new .DOC extension. The WWTORFT.PRG program does the reverse. It takes a WordWriter-St document and converts it to DCA/RFT. The first file selector allows you to select a WordWriter .DOC document and creates a .RFT document. The following formatting codes will be converted: 1. Tab (The program assumes that tab stops are set every 5 positions. Currently, I ignore user set tab stops. I may change my mind on this later) 2. Indent Tab (Also known as temporary left margin) (Once again I assume tab stops set every 5 positions.) 3. Begin/End underscore 4. Word Underscore 5. Subscript 6. Superscript 7. Begin/end emphasis (Bold) 8. Center Align 9. Required Page End 10. Begin/End Italics 11.
