MasterBrowse 4.5a (w\ MasterBrowse Installation Program V.4.5) ------------------------------------------------------------- To install MasterBrowse, please execute INSTALL.APP and provide the following information: NOTE: All information entered is case sensitive; "*.JPG" is not the same as "*.jpg". Destination Path - This must be a folder, and must be terminated by a "\" character. There are two ways to enter the destination path. The first method is to double-click in the editable field, then use the file selector to locate the destination path. The second method is to simply type the name of the destination path in the editable field. Boot Drive - Which drive do you boot from? For floppy drive systems, enter "A:". Most hard drive systems boot from "C:". MasterBrowse Multitasking AES Client - Please select the replacement operating system (if any) in use on your system. If you do not have a replacement operating system, or your replacement operating system does not appear in the list, select "None". Alternate Viewer - For MultiTOS and Geneva, MasterBrowse can be configured to call an alternate viewer for picture files or special document types that MasterBrowse cannot process. If you want to use this feature, follow these three steps: 1. Click on "Install Alternate Viewer". 2. Enter the path of the alternate viewer in the "Source Path" editable field. The files in this path will be copied to the destination path (with the other components of MasterBrowse). 3. Enter the filename of the alternate viewer in the "Alternate Viewer Filename" editable field. This information is needed so that MasterBrowse can determine which of the files in the "Source Path" is the alternate viewer. 4. The last step is to tell MasterBrowse which file types should be processed by the alternate viewer. There are twenty editable fields available for this purpose, so even GemView can be used as an alternate viewer. That is all there is to it! Click on the "Install" button, and the installation program will immediately begin working. If you have made an error in input, the installation program will warn you. -Michel Forget Electric Storm Software July 4, 1994
