What should have been in the LZH file: READTHIS.1ST This file. STICKYMS.PRG The actual program... STICKYMS.S The source code, in 68000 assembly. STKYMCFG.PRG The config program. What this is: This is StickyMouse, a simple program that goes in your AUTO folder. Once installed, you can use the right mouse button to turn on the left mouse button--like a light switch. You can then click either mouse button to turn the left button off again. This is useful if holding down the button is inconvenient; of course, it robs you of the use of the right mouse button, so that's why there's the config program. To use this, just double-click on it from the Desktop. It will search for StickyMouse in memory, and ask if you want StickyMouse on or off. Click "On" or "Off", or "Save" to save the current configuration to STICKYMS.PRG. The config program will search the current directory and also your AUTO folder, so STKYMCFG.PRG doesn't have to sit in your AUTO folder. (If it does, you'll see some bombs when you boot!) This program is Freeware. If you like it and use it, please pass it on to your friends. Thanks to Sean Price for suggesting the idea! I have included the source code for your edification; it's not the greatest in the world, but it does have one redeeming characteristic: it works. If you have comments or suggestions, please let me know! I can be reached at the following address: Damien M. Jones PSC 8 Box 657 APO AE 09109 +---------------------------------------------------------------------------+ Say, have you heard about DMJ GIF? It's one of the most popular GIF converters for the ST, and with good reason! DMJ GIF takes high quality GIF images and converts them to high quality Spectrum images. Or DEGAS or Tiny pictures. In full color, or grey scale, or monochrome. With the ST's 512-color palette or the STe's 4096 color palette. It also includes programs to convert Spectrum pictures to low or high resolution DEGAS pictures. And it even includes a program to view STe Spectrum pictures on an ST, in 3375 colors! There's even more, but I don't have space to list everything here. So where can you get this marvel? Try GEnie. Or CompuServe. Or your local BBS. (You're looking for DMJ_GIF3.LZH.) Can't find it on your local BBS? I've got plenty of copies (grin). Registered versions (which run twice as fast as distributed versions!) are available at the above address for only $15, and that includes a printed manual. So what are *you* waiting for?
