Rimik was started to fulfill Richard's goal of delivering quality products to Atari users here in the US and Canada. We are proud to announce the following NEW products for the Atari ST,STE and TT lines of computers. DTPaint ======= DTPaint is a unique high resolution paint program that runs as an desk accessory. DTPaint has all of the tools you would expect from a quality paint program and many more. DTPaint has advanced "MAC" like features such as "LASSO" and "JACK KNIFE". You can import Degas, Degas Elite, Image and MAC Paint files. Once your done editing them you can save them in the popular Image file format. Because DTPaint runs as a desk accessory you can create and edit pictures without leaving your "Desk Top Publishing" (DTP) program. DTPaint works great with DTP programs like Calamus, PageStream, Fleet Street Publisher, Publisher ST and many more. DTPaint Requires Monochrome Monitor $49.95 Works with all ST/STE/TT computers. Menu Plus ========== Menu Plus is a full featured "Desk Top" enhancement that allows you to quickly launch (run) any program on your hard disk or floppy disk. Menu Plus uses a creative menuing system that allows you to set up a Main Menu WITH corresponding Sub-Menus. Lets say you set up a Main Menu selection called games. You could then assign the Sub-Menu selections with the names and locations of your games. This type of menu system allows you highly organize all the programs on your hard disk or floppy disk. You also have the option of launching programs directly from the File selector. But Menu Plus is much more than a program launcher just read below. Features ======== Menu Plus only uses 32kb of memory when running an application, This means users with only 512k will have no problem using Menu Plus. Quick access to over 160 of your favorite programs. If you need more selections simply save your present menu and start a new one. Access to the File selector as well as the ability to launch programs directly from it. You can view Degas, NEO and Spectrum 512 pictures. You can also show or print a text file. The show text feature uses the left and right mouse buttons for scrolling text up and down the screen. Menu Plus also allows you play and edit ST-Replay sound files. A special AUTOPLAY feature allows you to play all the sound files in a directory. Menu Plus supports the popular "SND" file format for sound files. System settings like screen colors, Blitter Chip and Time and Date can all be set and saved from Menu Plus. We have also included a special password feature that will prevent anyone from using Menu Plus without a password. All of this and Menu Plus only uses 32k when running a program. An accessory version of the sound player/editor, picture viewer and show/print text features is included. This allows users with larger memories in their computers to have access to those features will running other programs. Menu Plus Works with all ST/STE computers. $39.95 MultiGEM ======== Many of today's computers now have the ability to multitask. Operating systems like Windows on the IBM PC's and Amiga DOS on the Amiga's give these computer users a definite edge over computer users who can't multitask with their computers. For years now the Atari ST computer did not have the ability to accomplish true Multitasking. Sure, the GEM operating system has desk accessories, but GEM can not run several programs at the same time. Well all that has changed now with a new program I found in Europe called MultiGEM. MultiGEM is a power packed MULTITASKING system that is as easy to use as your standard Atari "Desk Top". I have been using MultiGEM on my MEGA 2 computer and have tested it with many of the programs used by Atari professionals today. Programs like Calamus, PageStream, Fleet Street Publisher, Word Flair, Word Writer, 1st Word, LDW, EZ Calc, and many more. Let me tell you, it is great to have the programs you use the most siting there on your "Desk Top" running and ready to use. MultiGEM saves me time and the headache of constantly loading and unloading programs. After using MultiGEM I think you will be amazed by how easy it is to use. If you have always wanted the ability to multitask programs on your Atari but wanted it be flexible and easy to use MultiGEM is for you. Features ======== MultiGEM allows true GEM Multitasking and will allow up 6 independent GEM programs to run all at the same time. MultiGEM will even allow TOS and TTP programs to multitask in their own windows. After MultiGEM is setup, you can run programs right form your Atari GEM "Desk Top". There are no special codes or commands to learn, you almost always have access to the Atari GEM "Desk Top" so you can launch programs normally. MultiGEM uses the six desk accessory slots so you can easily access any program running under MultiGEM. MultiGEM will allow you to run accessories as programs, simply double click on an accessory with the extension ".MUC". MultiGEM also allows accessories to function normally. With MultiGEM you can adjust and allocate memory used by programs, even programs that like to use all available memory for themselves. This feature gives MultiGEM the power to manage memory very efficiently. MultiGEM Recommended 1mb of memory. $99.95 Works with ST/STE/TT computers MultiGEM Utilities Disk #1 ======================== The MultiGEM Utilities were designed to enhance the performance of MultiGEM. There are four programs included in the MultiGEM Utilities Disk #1. MultiMAT ======== MultiMAT is a Multitasking floppy disk formatting program. MultiMAT will allow you to format a floppy disk while you work with other programs running under MultiGEM. You can format disks at 9-10 sectors, 80-82 Tracks and single or double sided. MultiMAT has two format speeds and can stay resident in a MultiGEM slot for later use. MultiMAT does not use any GEM windows leaving them free for other application to use. Multi-Launch ============ Multi-Launch is a "Menu Tree" style program launching system. Some programs, that are launched under MultiGEM, may not let you access the "Desk Top" to launch (run) other programs. Multi-Launch will allow you to run other programs from within any program running under MultiGEM that uses a GEM Menu Bar. Multi-Launch features are as follows; Multi-Launch uses a "Menu Tree" style menu system, which lets you set up Main Menus (like a folder) and corresponding Sub-Menus (whats in the folder). Multi-Launch will hold up to 25 pre-defined program selections. You can also save and load other menus. Multi-Launch will allow you to pass default data files to programs. Many GEM programs will allow you to predetermine a default data file they will load when the program begins to run. For example you could have Word Writer automatically load a default document every time it was loaded into memory. Multi-Launch will automatically put any programs it runs into their own MultiGEM slots. This allows Multi-Launch to remain available to launch other programs. Mulit-Launch can stay resident in a MultiGEM slot and does not use any GEM windows leaving them free for other applications. Multi-Copy ========== Multi-Copy allows Multitasking file transfers. With Multi-Copy you can multitask copy any file(s) on your hard drive or floppy disk. Multi-Copy also allows you to copy whole floppy disks while you use other programs running under MultiGEM. Multi-Copy can stay resident in a MultiGEM slot and does not use any GEM windows leaving them for other applications to use. Multi-Print ========== Multi-Print is a Multitasking print utility. Multi-Print will allow you to multitask print any text file. Multi-Print can stay resident in a MultiGEM slot and uses no GEM windows leaving them free for other application to use. The MultiGEM Utilities will be available on September 1st, 1991. Works on ST/STE/TT Computers. $29.95
