Cal 6.3a Addendum
-----------------
16 November 1992

Version 6.3a of Cal has several minor enhancements, and includes a new
Archive feature for expired events.

Enhancements:

1. You may now center the Cal dialog on your monitor by double-clicking
the title bar on the main calendar screen.

2. Days when an event of importance level 9 is scheduled will appear with
a colored border on the calendar screen instead of a black border.

3. Date calculations in an event's message are now calculated according to
the year displayed on the main calendar screen instead of the current
   year.

New Archive Feature:

Cal now has the ability to 'archive' expired events to a history file.
When this occurs, an entry for each expired event is added to a history
file, then the event is deleted from Cal's database. The entry for each
event contains the importance level, alarm and scheduling information, and
the full text of the event's message.

To request an archive, select the "check eXpired" button from Cal's File
dialog. An alert will ask if you wish to archive the expired events or
view them individually. Select the "arch" button from this alert. When
the file selector appears, choose your history file. (The default archive
filename is CAL$ARCH.EVS.) If the file you select doesn't exist, Cal will
create it; if it already exists, Cal will add the new archive extries to
the end of the file. After a few moments, you will return to the File
dialog.

Remember to save your Cal database after performing an archive -- otherwise
the events that have just been archived off will remain in your Cal file,
and will be added to the history file again the next time you archive!

Notes:

This copy of CAL63.ACC is a complete replacement for the older version.
The added code for the new feature was too big to fit in the patch area in
the previous version, so there's no Superzap update available.
