This simple CPU speed comparison system was developed to help Atari dealers
sell computers without having to actually demonstrate the mouse, desktop 
environment and many features often too time consuming to mention.
Consumers shopping at any of the new "warehouse" self serve computer stores
often have only demonstration programs running continuously on many different 
platforms to make a buying decision. We at Benchmark Systems think this is 
the best demo yet for Atari computers!

Our "in house" programming team spent months perfecting the speed benchmark 
algorithms used in this program. Many more months were spent paging through
magazine articles so that we could fairly compare the speeds of machines we 
could not afford.

Our color monitor has not been working for a few months so this program will
only run on the Atari monochrome monitor but we have written our code a 
special way so that it will run on all models of the ST. We don't know about 
the TT because we can't afford one yet, but if everyone who uses this program 
will send us a $20.00 shareware fee we will quickly begin writing quality 
software for this machine as well.
