The EPSON.PRD Marcel printer driver has been modified to be compatible with the Canon BubbleJet printer. Font selection is now handled properly. To use this driver successfully, Marcel WP version 2.3.4 must be installed. (V2.3.4 is available in the full release or as a patch to v2.3.3. V2.3.4 fixes a bug in the processing of ASCII-NUL characters in printer commands.) The font list has been modified so that fixed-space fonts appear on the left side of the Marcel font selector and proportional fonts on the right. (The "Script Proportional" font is not recommended--use fixed-space "Script".) Remember that draft mode cannot be used with a proportional font. If you're using a Canon BubbleJet, be sure to turn on the DIP switches for Epson/LQ emulation mode and Text Scaling. OTHER EPSON DRIVER IMPROVEMENTS The driver coding for the dash (or em-dash) has been enhanced. Before, two hyphens on-screen -- would print two hyphens. Now a real dash is printed. This works with nearly every font/size/spacing combination. If you want two hyphens to appear in print, edit the EPSON.PRD file and switch the comment marks (initial #-signs) between the last two lines; be sure to save the driver file as ASCII. The coding for the "bullet" character has been improved. Codings for numerous accented letters and symbols (O-slash, O-umlaut, c-cedille, A-boll, AE-ligature, a-i-o-u-acute, paragraph, copyright, and registered) have been corrected or enhanced.
