A very good package with a rough English translation of the German instruction manual included. AAG 003 DS CLIPART Cartoon pictures, maps, facial expressions etc, quite a few subjects covered there are even floor plans and pictures to help you draw your own. AAG 004 DS 1Meg DALI V3.1 Another great art package that puts œ30+ products to shame this one is from France and combines all the best from Degas and Neochrome. The only gripe I've got is the lack of instruc- tions, still if you use any good art package (or have used) then you soon get the hang of it. AAG 005 DS 1Meg CRS CRACKART This is the last word in art packages (as of 28.5.92) The main screen is taken up by an icon control panel and file selector that gives you access to all the funtions (and there is everything you could ask for and more). You can also exwcute you own external program or assembler routine. Would you believe there is also some built in games. The only feature that really needs covering is access to the palette which is done by pressing the spacebar while on the working screen. Full English manual is now ready 21.10.92. PIXPRO This will convert your PI2 (medium res) master pieces, which use four colours, into black and white so you can use them as clip art in a DTP package. It really is a joy to watch, if there is anyone out there who can do better (or even as well) we would be glad to ad- ded it to the library. Every once in awhile something really great happens, Meat loaf brings out an album, someone breaks the world record on the track, you know the sort of thing I mean, well this is one of those times. Crackart is a mind blower if this is sha- reware the guys sat on their butts in the software houses had better get their fingers out and start producing something that takes us all by the throat. AAG 006 DS FRACTAL ZOOM Probably the best and fastest fractal package for the ST. You can use this program to create Mandlebrots, Julia sets and Chaos sets (2 types). This is an excellent product that was rated with five stars by ST FORMAT in issue 10. Full manual on the disk to help you get up and running. AAG 007 DS Even more fractal programs and utilities. It allows you to create all those Trip-A-Tron effects ea- sily and quickly. Includes far to many features to even begin to list here. Just let me say that I'm no kind of artist but I had great looking graphics and effects going within 30 min of booting this disk up!!. Rated at 89% by ST FORMAT so its got to be good. AAG 009 DS Another good art package created with STOS called ELECTRONIC DREAMS by Nigel Head and given rave write ups in Shareware Shop- per. Basically this art program falls into the very good section of shareware, if you want to see what STOS can do in the right hands then this is one to look at, or if you use STOS to write programs and need an art package to use with STOS then this is worth a look. Nigel is coding a game that should be in PD libra- ries very soon using this art package for the graphics. AAG 010 DS ST CAD A computer aided design package that runs in medium or high resolution. ROYAL PAINT A shareware art package that runs in low res and performs very well with all the options you normaly find in an art program. It impressed us with its ease of use. LOOKER Trans- form your low res art into high res. Also in the folder is a utility which scans programs and files for hidden pictures which can then be saved or printed. AAG 011 DS ANI ST is an art animation package. You draw an initial shape and move it into the final shape. The computer draws all the in be- tween shapes automatically, and can then animate the full sequence. Also on the disk is ANIMATE 4 which displays Delta files and sequence animations created by Cyberpaint in DLT or SEQ formats and Cyber Studio in DLT formats. There is an absolutely brilliant example on the disk of a robot animation. A read me file on the disk helps with any problems. COLOUR SPACE A great light synth from Jeff Minter. Turn on the Hi-Fi, turn off the lights, boot up this disk and sit back and create your very own light show to run along with your fav sound track, then crack a few tins and kick back and mellow out. AAG 012 3D CONSTRUCTION KIT A demo of what you can do with the full package of this popular kit used for constructing some of the most recent professional 3D games. Well worth a look before you go out and buy the full package. AAG 013 DS SAM or SILICON ANIMATION MACHINE SAM loads a sequence of pic- tures in NEO format. This is a demo of the the full version with examples on the disk including a straight slide show and one ro- botic animation. Daymon This program will con- vert the six DEGAS formats, Neochrome, Spectrum compressed and uncompressed, Mac Paint and Tiny to a monochrome .IMG format file. These file should be compatible with any programs that are able to use .IMG files. They have been tested with the .IMG viewer, IMG Quick View, WordUp, PageStream and Easy-Draw. IMG QUICK VIEW PRO- GRAM by W.D. Parks. This program grew out of an experiment in assembly linkage. At any rate, it proved to be just about the fastest loader of an .IMG file to come down the road since the .IMG file came into existence. This is a quick and clean way to get a look at your .IMG files and decide where you want them or even if you want to keep them. Since it remembers the name of the last file loaded, you can load a file, look at it, and hit any letter key so the fileselector comes up with the name on the se- lection line. IMG SLIDE SHOW This .IMG Slide Show program allows the viewing of monochrome .IMG files on any resolution ST. The user has control over speed, titles, slide order and other attributes through the use of an optional script file. You may specify multiple search paths and/or filenames with full wildcard support. IMAGE CAT 1.0 by Chet Walters IMG CAT will print up to 150 image's at each punch of the CATALOGUE button. You can select and print as many paths as you please during any one session (thousands of files if you want to), but you can't access more than 150 image files from any one path. IMG CAT will print in various configurations page after page of IMG files nicely laid out in alphabetical order with sizes and names ready for your perusal. Next time you're stuck for a nice graphic to go with that newsletter article about Christmas, just pull out your catalogue and look under 'W' for winter. Since you can put up to 15 images per page, you might even find one that suit's your needs better than the one you were looking for in the first place. IMG CAT requires GDOS (Atari) or G+PLUS (CodeHeads) and a suitable printer driver with at least one printer font that has 10 point and 12 point typefaces. IMG CAT is a breeze to use and it's so flexible that its just got to be able to do what you want. A very handy program for anyone using a large collection of IMG format pictures. IMAGE EDITOR DA V0.65 by Mike Bergman Put this file in a disk's or hard disk's root directory and reboot your computer system. Convert either a normal (.SPU) Spectrum 512 picture or a compres- sed (.SPC) into SPX. It creates a password on the disk, So try and remember it. DOODLE turns you computer into a piece of paper to doodle on. All right if you want to show someone a rough outline of an idea. AAG 024 TRENDY HANDY RANDY HENDY BENDY MANDY With a name like that it should either sell or sink without trace. This is one of the most complete and fast fractal packages for the ST (at the moment any- way). Its owner tells me that its a favourite of Jeff Minter, what better recommendation do you want or need. Manual on disk. AAG 025 CLIP ART. Faces, people, sports, etc. AAG 026 PICTURE WORKS Load, and save various picture formats and do amazing things to them. A complete and easy to follow manual is included on the disk. JCCALENDAR V0.4G is for the Atari ST range of computers and works in high resolution mode only though it has been tested with a demo version of the Monulator. It will print calendar pages to HP DJ500 printers or to 24pin printers which support 360dpi and can use the , "*" n0 n1 n2 m1 m2 ..... command (see under Select Graphics Mode' in your printer handbook). There is also a built in routine to allow the use of 9pin printers. JC-CFN-VIEW V0.4 This version fixes a bug which caused a crash on the MegsST when the fileselector was called!. A viewer for Calamus CFN fonts which needs an ST running in high resolution, or with a mono emulator. At the moment all fonts are shown in outline only but this suffi- cient to be able to see if a font has been well constructed and if it contains all the characters you might want. JCLABEL V1.7 for the Atari ST or TT running in ST mode. A label printer which works on Hi-res or Med-res screens. Suitable for single column labels or double column if you first use one column and then invert the backing to use the other column. It is also possible to print la- bels on plain paper and cut them out to stick on packets, etc. JCVIEW V1.1F A clipart viewer and clip manipulation program for the Atari ST which requires 1 meg of memory and only works in Hi resolution. Basically this program started out as a hi-res clipart viewer for all the formats of clipart at the time. It grew to include facilities which enabled clips to be copied and new compilations of clip-art to be made. A facility to add text was added along with simple drawing facilities. The program can hold up to four screens of clipart at the same time which may be scrolled through at will. These are the main screens. In addition there is another screen, the build screen, which is the work screen for building up a new picture file, poster design or whatever takes your fancy. A MONO EMULATOR ON THE DISK ALLOWS YOU TO USE THE MONO PROGRAMS ON A COLOUR SYSTEM. A great collection of programs on one disk, in fact I would go so far as saying THE best art utility disks in the entire library. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. AAG 029 DS PAINTPOT A great art package for the first time user as well as those who are looking for a good half meg package, its not as good as Crackart but its easier to use and it runs on a 520ST. This was a full price package (did cost œ14:95). As a shareware product you do not get a manual unless you send off your œ10 to the author but most options are easy to use without the manual. This was a cover disk on the October issue of ST Review and if you do have problems with the package then there was a six page full colour tutorial in the magazine. Runs in all three rez's, STE extended palette, IMG, DEGAS and NEO save and load, GEM fonts and very user friendly. AAG 030 DS A disk full of .IMG files with a viewer program. There are over 30 pictures on the disk covering decoration, car mechanics, building and construction to name but a few. AAG 031 DS MONO GEM METAFILE FORMAT OBJECTS These pictures are called Vector or Outline clipart/graphics. They are in GEM format and as such can be imported into DTP packages such as Calamus. AAG 033 DS DATIZE DIGITISING SERVICE Here is a disk full of pictures in three formats, 16 colour degas format, 512 colour spectrum format and 4096 colour photochrome format. What is offered by Datize Di- gitising service is to take your pictures (stills or direct) from a video camera/tape (VHS only) and turn them into one of five formats on a disk. You can then send a picture disk through the post to whoever might want them rather than risk a video tape. The price works out at 50p a disk if you supply the disk. Also on the disk is a scroller routine to display your text, this could be used at christmas or birthdays to send a message to a lucky person rather than a standard card (its cheaper as well) or you could use it to add a bit of flair to you latest game, Instructions for the game scrolling across the screen. The program lets you do alsorts of things with the text like change letter colour, background co- lour, explode letters of screen, change scroll speed, etc. This is a nice little program that could give someone a treat. AAG 034 DS THE ANCIENT ART OF ASCII Have you ever seen a picture made up from letters and wondered how it was done?. The artist will tell you it took years of practice. Now you can cheat, this program automates the production by mapping the light and dark areas of a picture and choosing corresponding letters. The program will load and convert any Degas Hi-res picture and produce remarkable pic- tures that will be the talk of the family. Rated at **** in issue 10 of ST Review. Also on the disk is Geodisk which requires 1Meg and allows you to create Geodesic domes (solid football shapes, to you and me) and animate them, just like the demo boys, but better. This program will even let you create spherical triangles!! (sounds wrong, but it's not). This program can be both fun and educational. AAG 035 DS CREATIVE TITLES A video titler which does everything a video titler should do and then some. You can choose a maximum of eight screens in PI format to show in sequence with either fades or scrolls between them. Once you have them in the order you want you can then show them on a monitor, TV or tape them onto a video. There is an 11k manual on the disk to get you started. VIDEO MAGICIAN This is another video title program so if you can't get on with one try the other, this one was created with STOS and you can import any font with a .MBK extenter. VIDEO ORGANISER Organise your video collection; Catalogue your videos and print labels and/or catalogue cards for them. AAG 036 DS ON LINE (3) Covers CAD art of the type produced wirh CAD 3D, you may view, admire and learn about wireframe technology as opposed to solid figure creation in 3D. The examples on the disk show the differing viewing angles and are of a very high standard. to 'do it yourself' I would suggest you will need at least CAD V1.0. AAG 037 DS ON LINE (4) This mostly instructive and will appeal to those who wish to learn more about sculpture. The X, Y and most of important Z axes are explained for 3D modelling. Full details are given on the techniques of clay modelling, wire-frame structures and wood carving, bronze casting is also covered. AAG 038 DS CRACKART V1.36 This is the new version of Crackart the top art package in PD most of the feature you can find under AAG 005. The main change in the program is that after 10 minutes use a screen comes up and tells you that you really should register your copy if you are going to use it all the time, when this appears the machine locks out for about a minute after which you can continue. Improvements to the program include. four screen support for mo- nocgrome pictures, Scrapbuffer saving, GIF, new loader extender for automatic format recongnition, new printer drivers for (mono and colour), scanner interface,, different title screens while decrunching data, new relax games, extended interface structure for SCAP buffer, ASM, PRINTER and SCANNER, text parameter 'BOLD' and 'LIGHT' with system font, folder generation, full FX menu with user defined filler, variable driver-buffer-sizes (to save RAM), extended text parameter and sizes up to 96*96 pixels, new boot virus test, sprite animation for game development, workscreen switch while in colour menu, even more effects, interface to PRG and TOS via ACC menu, saving of sprite sequences or colour tables as assembler source, horizontal centering blocks with CONTROL+ CLR/HOME, double click in main menu also with ALTERNATE+CLICK, SIZE online with the TT, FILL with dithering between two colours in any angle and width. All this and a lot of debugging!!. As you can see from the above list this is not just a simple re-write with a few changes but almost a complete new package. The best art package just got better and there is still no sign of a software houses coming up with anything better. You can also register with the authors by simply sending them œ15 sterling, thus there is no need to mess around with English money into German money or sending off international money orders and being charged the earth by a bank that likes to say yes. AAG 039 DS 1Meg [Two disks] ATARI IMAGE MANAGER This is the latest version of this excellent program that enchances digitised images. It can be used in both low res or high res and needs 1Meg of memory to run. This package has to be the best colour to mono converter and vice versa, if you use digitiised images you can't do without this it features many advanced ideas in image management. A full manual is available from the creators when you register, which would be a very wise thing to do if you want to make the most of all the features. Highly recommended.
