Falcon users take note:

While Dev_Shell does it's best to provide you with a decent
compatibility in order to work with GFA BASIC we must worn you,
because of the various GFA EDITOR/Falcon UN-compatible resolution
configurations, the following guidelines must be understood.

1) Dev_Shell should NOT be run from a true color desktop.

2) Primary installation of Dev_Shell should be run from a ST
compatible resolution. This is because Dev_Shell will switch
resolutions to the nearest GFA EDITOR compatible mode. Thus,
causing the file selector to try to use more colors than are
actually available, which means the file selector gets messed
   up.

3) System burps and un-avoidables. On the Falcon you have an almost
un-limited resolution configuration. Since you are a GFA programmer
you are probably already aware that the GFA editor messes up when it
is used in anything other than ST compatbile modes. And even then,
it still messes up when it comes time to call the fileselector.
Dev_Shell uses the XBIOS(5) call to switch to the nearest ST
compatbile mode before running Dev_Shell. So if you are working in
a 640x400 or greater mode, it switches to ST HIGH. If you are using
a 640x240 or 640x200 mode it switches to ST MEDIUM. If you are using
any 320x??? mode it switches to ST LOW. Dev_Shell's thinking is if you
are running a certain resolution from the desktop, you'll want to
program in GFA in the same (or as close as possible) resolution.
The XBIOS(5) call still dosn't seem to address the AES correctly, so
expect the fileselector to be messed up in certain circumstances.
In this demo version, Dev_Shell will ALWAYS switch to ST MEDIUM. So
you may want to be in a 640x200 mode before running to insure proper
   use of the fileselector.
