Overview

FormFeed was created to eject pages from printers by sending an ASCII
formfeed character to the printer. Laser printer users will find this
accessory is faster than taking the printer offline, pressing the formfeed
button, then placing the printer back online. I personally use it with the
Atari SLM804 laser printer in Diablo mode for ejecting small blocks of text
printed from within Flash (telecommunication software). It is also useful
for ejecting partial pages printed from the GEM Desktop, and other similar
situations.

Starting FormFeed 1.0

FormFeed is a GEM desk accessory which will be loaded automatically when the
computer boots if it is named FF.ACC in the boot drive's root directory. (For
more information about desk accessories, see your Atari Computer User's Manual.)

Using FormFeed 1.0

To use FormFeed, move the mouse poinrter to the Desk menu item in the upperleft
corner of the screen. When the menu box drops down, move the mouse to the
title FormFeed 1.0 and click the left mouse button. FormFeed will send an
ASCII formfeed character to the printer and eject the page.

Note:
Only printers that recognize ASCII printer control characters will work with
FormFeed. While most printers used with Atari computers fall into this
category, it is important to note that dedicated PostScript printers and
other printers with their own control commands will not correctly respond to
FormFeed.
