Ideas for future versions:

 1) Rewrite the file selector.
 2) Since Viewdata and Viewmono share about 90% of the code, separate out the
    display stuff and put it in a separate driver (this should also help
    with TT versions etc.)
 3) Write a proper VT100/Zmodem terminal and replace the dumb terminal (which
    was only meant to be for things like shades but it'd be nice to have
    everything in one package.)
 4) Write the bulk uploader (the spec's been gathering dust for ages in
    a pile somewhere, but since I don't even know the phone number of
    the bulk update port, let alone have an account on Duke, it'll
    probably gather a lot more dust before anything gets done!)
 5) Write a host package - all the commands are implemented in VTOS for such
    a program it just needs me to piece it all together.
 6) Some kind of script language would be nice (but then so would a brand new
    Mercedes!) 
 7) Popup menus/Radio buttons for the response frames and error boxes - at
    the moment errors appear on the bottom line and have a habit of vanishing
    before you get to read them (also the etc_critic handler isn't redirected
    which creates fun if you get a low-level error!)
 8) Scrolling viewdata is already there but would anyone ever use it? (comments
    please)
 9) 8-bit viewdata?  Special escapes, extra characters etc.  Probably only useful
    if I write a host program.
10) Mailbox file transfer - I tried this once but failed due to the strangeness
    of Prestel...  It might be worth trying again if there's any interest.
11) Graphics/Text print of pages (Alt/Help is not particularly useful for this!)
12) Import ASCII into a series of template frames for uploading...  People have
    asked for this in the past but I'm too lazy to actually write it (since it's
    not as easy as it sounds.)
13) Respond to auto-programming codes which Prestel can send to autodiallers.
    Does anyone still know this page exists???
14) Make lots of mon... err.. rats... slipped out there didn't it...
