3-1-1989 User, Version -B of THE SEEKER has the following changes and fixes. o In seek in selected books function a check was added to see if user entered more than 66 books. Previous version didn't and bombed. Also room for entries equals exactly 66 characters at Selections prompt. Sorry I didn't catch that earlier but I'm only human. o File name that is being loaded and searched is now displayed. o Match prompt cleaned up. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3-3-1989 Version -C of THE SEEKER has the following changes and fixes. o The "[A] Seek in one book" file selector routines improved. o Register varibles used in main search routine and search is "jumped" to end of mismatch instead of incremented all the way through. Speed increase is hardly noticed on one book but through the whole Bible it may add up. o CASE prompt changed. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3-12-89 Version D of THE SEEKER has the following changes and fixes. o Crash at match across buffer fixed. It won't crash now but it still will not find a match if it happens to be split across it's buffer. I got around this by increasing the size of the buffer to 262K. This is a few K bigger than any book of the Bible so no matches across the buffer will occur, all matches will be found. It should still work on a 512K ST. o Prompt added to notify you when you are trying to read past the buffer. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- ***** This is the last update for a while I hope, got another project I want to get started on. I'll try to fix any nasty bugs if you report them to me "Larry Mears" at WRB 205-837-2025 or HAUG 205-461-7893 BBSs. This is a great tool for finding scriptures and printing them out for a sermon where you want to have quick reference to certain scriptures and notes. I use it to relieve my curiosity and I wanted a free PD version for the ST. It's much better than the MS-DOS PD program that came with the Bible text files. Luke 2:14
