SAFEMENU allows you to change the behaviour of command menus in
GEM applications, making menus somewhat safer against accidental
activation. It also includes a mouse accelerator. To use SAFEMENU,
you need Atari's modular control panel XCONTROL.

Installation
------------

Copy SAFEMENU.PRG into the AUTO folder on your boot disk or boot
partition. Copy ENGLISH\SAFEMENU.CPX into the CPX folder used by
XCONTROL.

Usage
-----

Select Safemenu's panel in XCONTROL to configure menu behaviour and
mouse speed:

Normal: Menus behave like they would without Safemenu.

Pulldown: Menus behave like on an Apple Macintosh. To select a
menu item, click on the menu title and move to the item while
keeping the mouse buttong pressed. Release the mouse button
to select the item.

Right button: The mouse pointer can only be moved into the menu
bar when the right mouse button is pressed.

Half menu: A menu drops down only when the mouse pointer touches the
upper half of the menu title.

The remaining two buttons (fast/normal) switch the mouse accelerator
on/off.
