                               UPDATE PROCEDURES

Registered owners of this program may upgrade to the latest version by
downloading the latest DEMO version from any BBS or online service.

As of version 4.5, new registration routines were incorporated in this program
to simplify the upgrade process, reduce program size, and allow the program to
be "Squished". Due to this change, the update procedure is slightly different
depending on which version you CURRENTLY have.

Section 1 - Upgrading from version 4.4 or Earlier

1 - Rename the program file RECIPE.PRG to RECIPE.OLD
2 - Place the latest DEMO version in the same directory as RECIPE.OLD
3 - Run the new DEMO version (RECIPE.PRG)
4 - Press the HELP key at the main menu to verify your name/address
5 - Copy the files RECIPE.PRG and RECIPE.KEY to your master disk.
6 - Delete the RECIPE.OLD file

A new file titled RECIPE.KEY now exists in your Recipe Box directory. This
file contains your registration information and MUST NOT be distributed!

If this file is missing the program will revert to DEMO operation!

Section 2 - Upgrading from version 4.5 or later

1 - Rename the program file RECIPE.PRG to RECIPE.XXX
2 - Place the latest DEMO version in the same directory
3 - Run the new version and press the HELP key to verify your name is intact
4 - Delete the file RECIPE.XXX and copy RECIPE.PRG to your master disk.

The RECIPE.KEY file 'MUST' be in the same directory for a successful update!
