CONVERTER Version 2.1 By Niles Russell October, 1992 Converter 2.1 (CONVRT21) is an update to the previously released version, 2.0 What's the purpose of CONVERTER? CONVERTER will allow you to easily convert english measurments to metric measurements, or the other way around! What's new in this update? * Creation of a window for the input/output screen. * Color program now has color. (What a novel idea!) * Addition of Pounds per square inch and Kilopascals for pressure conversion. * Still released as Freeware! (Not new, but you get the idea!) While using this program, keep in mind that nautical miles, statute miles, and kilometers can also be thought of as miles/kilometers per hour. This is helpful for figuring speed. This program should be compatible with all ST's, Mega ST's and the TT. TT users should use TT Medium to run this program. On regular ST's, the program runs in high and medium resolution only. It will not run in low resolution. CONVERTER has been released as freeware into the public domain. This program may be distributed freely, but may not be sold. The following files must accompany it: CONVRT21.PRG CONVRT21.TXT I have spent many hours writing this program. I am not asking for money, just feedback concerning your comments, ideas, suggestions and anything you would like to see added. Feedback usually has a positive affect, and may encourage me to further upgrade this program. Thanks to those that have left me feedback! Feel free to leave me feedback on GEnie. When entering numbers, do not use comma's, (i.e. 1,234) as the resulting answer will be incorrect. One day I'll fix it... Since the addition of a window was added, more problems were introduced. Most of them were eliminated except one that I call the ACC bug. You shouldn't have any problem running ACC programs, although when you exit the program, the ACC's picture, or image, will still remain in the window of CONVERTER. By choosing another measurement to convert, the ACC image will dissapear. Kind of a neat effect, huh? If your a programmer, perhaps you can leave me some suggestions or ideas on how I can correct this problem. Support your Atari programmers!
