// Pixel Grabber Demo // by REALM ---( Introduction )--- Welcome to the Pixel Grabber Demo! This Demo may be freely distributed as long as the following files are included and no fee is charged directly for the product: PIXEL_DM.ACC - (Pixel Grabber Demo ACC) PIXEL_GH.RSC - (Pixel Grabber High resolution RSC file) PIXEL_GL.RSC - (Pixel Grabber Low resolution RSC file) PIXEL_DM.TXT - (This text file) This Demo is fully operational except for Save. Your probable wondering what goods a demo of a Screen Grabber that can't save? Normally it wouldn't be much of a demo but Pixel Grabber isn't your typical screen grabber. It has some more advanced features to help in the construction of Icons and GFA DATA .LST's for Sprites and Mice. ---( A Brief Overview )--- In order to run the Demo simply copy the .ACC and .RSC files to your Boot Disk. That would be the root directory of Drive C: if your using a hard drive. The PIXEL_GH.RSC file is only required in ST Low and Medium. If using a TT simple copy both files... Pixel Grabber knows which file to use. The Demo requires 360K of RAM to operate(for the TT). The ST version will require about 200K but I didn't see any need for two demos for the same software. Pixel Grabber has it's own online help screen for reference purposes during use. You can call on the help at any time by Clicking on the <> section in the title bar. The first screen tells you how to operate the help portion of the program. You should be able to get a good idea of how things operate but just incase I'll point out a few of the less obvious features. In the lower right hand corner is a button with the name FIXED. Click on this button to toggle the grabbing modes. It will change to MULTI then FREE. FIXED gives you a single box for grabbing. MULTI provides the familiar, choose the top corner, drag to the bottom corner method. FREE is identical to FIXED except it's width may be any number instead of a multiple of 16. In the upper right portion of the title bar is the word REALM. You may click on it to find REALMs loction in the universe. Not to mention a good example of Pixel Grabbers ability. Initially the Logo was located in DynaCADD. After trying several Icon programs that allow you to make large Icons, I found none of the Icons worked in my RSC program. Thus I created MULTI mode. I used it to grab the picture as several 48x48 clips then saved them as Icons. From there I loaded them straight into the RSC program as smaller Icons and reassembled the picture. Theres two more tricky things in the main screen. Across the bottom of the Current View window is a row of two arrows with numbers between them. You may proceed to any number clip by clicking on the top number. The lower number tells you how many clips you have grabbed. Second, next to the display area is the color chooser. If you have at least 1 clip, you may pick a color from the screen. Click on the color box itself then click on the pixel who's color you wish to use. If you have any questions about Pixel Grabbers use feel free to ask!
