    ScanLite can be used with the following hand scanners for the ST/TT:
    
    
    GeniScan/ST     available from Rio/Datel
    DAATAscan       available from Rio/Datel
    Migraph         available from Migraph (or various dealers)
    GoldenImage     available from Golden Image (or E. Arthur Brown)
    
    
    ScanLite requires less than 20k and supports all four scanners
    in this one program.  View as you scan in all ST/TT resolutions.

   MAIN DIALOG:          
   
   DPI or resolution, from 100 to 400 DPI
   Inches to scan,    from 1 to 99 (limited by scan buffer size)
   Timer              from 1 second to 99 seconds  (@8MHz)
                          .5  - 50 sec            (@16MHz)
                          .25 - 25 sec            (@32MHz)

   SETUP DIALOG:
   
   Scanner Make,      selectable via radio buttons (see above list)

   View Plane,        for color video. which plane to be written

    This DEMO version is fully functional except for disk writing
    features. You can scan all you like but it can't be saved.
    Defaults are not saved. Select the proper make scanner in
    each power-up or run.
    Sorry, but this is only a demo version.
    

            ScanLite can be used THREE different ways:


      ScanLite may be used as a PROGRAM or as an ACCESSORY.
      
ACC:  As an accessory, ScanLite can allocate available memory
      when it is needed and deallocates it all upon exit. 
      If you're running from the desktop, then this is just fine.
      
ACC:  If you want to call the ScanLite ACC from within another
      application, it is best to pre-configure a dedicated scan
      buffer for ScanLite since other applications don't usually
      leave much memory free for allocation by ScanLite.
      
      Run the SL_PREP program to set up a scan buffer within
      ScanLite.
      
PRG:  When running ScanLite as a PROGRAM, it is best to have
      NO pre-set scan buffer since in the PRG form, ScanLite
      simply allocates all available memory AFTER it loads.
      A pre-set buffer will reduce this amount.
      
      Rule of Thumb: Use SL_PREP to change between PRG and ACC

    This DEMO version may be freely distributed as long as this
    text file and SL_PREP are included and as long as none are
    altered in any way. Always distribute this demo WITHOUT a
    pre-allocated buffer.
