Version 1.25 of COALESCE.PRG and the medium resolution COALESCM.PRG
have a slightly defective SLM printer driver.  This program is designed
to fix that.  First, make a back up copy of both COALESCE.PRG and
COALESCM.PRG somewhere on your HD or on a new floppy.  Run this
COALPTCH.PRG program and locate that back up copy of COALESCE.PRG with
the file selector.  Once the patch is successful, run this program again
and locate that backup copy of COALESCM.PRG.   Test BOTH patched
programs with your SLM (don't forget to set device # & paper size and
whatnot).  Once you are satisfied that it does indeed work, copy the
patched programs over the originals.  Fixed!

UPGRADE INFO:  Coalesce has had some minor bug fixes, speed enhancements
and two oft requested new features.  There has been added an AUTO CROP
feature to the EDIT function.  What this does is automatically eliminate
as much white space as it can from ALL FOUR sides of the image making it
smaller for saves and making it print better in most cases.  Also added
is a new feature for HP laser users.  If the image in memory will print
at a lesser DPI than 300 and still fit on the page, you can, if you
wish, print at 100 or 150 DPI. This makes for some VERY fast
PHOTOCOPIES.  Scan at 100 DPI and print at 100 DPI!  Super quick and
easy!  Currenly HP lasers only can take advantage of that.

To upgrade to the new version, send us your COALESCE 1.25 disk and $3.00
and we will send back to you the new version 1.29 with these
enhancements.  NOTE:  These enhancements have been made ONLY to the
MONOCHROME version of Coalese.  The MEDIUM resolution specific version
of Coalesce has NOT been upgraded beyond fixing the SLM driver (which
this patch program does anyway).
