                          DISKTOP2.PRG INFO
                            By Todd Burkey

The Disktop program in this arc file supports both color and monochrome
monitors. Help for the program is obtained by pressing the help key while
in the program. Place disktop on an un-write protected disk (floppy or hard)
and double click on the DISKTOP2.PRG icon to run it. The screen will fade
out and then fade back in with the disktop screen so don't get hysterical
when that happens. You can use either the mouse for command selection or
just type the first letter of the command you want executed. I prefer the
latter, I only added the mouse commands to see how fast text 'buttons'
could be redrawn...The only other thing to remember is that when you are
done and want to save to your database, be sure to have your original
disk that you activated disktop from in the same drive you started in so
that DISKTOP.DB will get created in the right spot.

If anyone is interested, I will post the DISKTOP.DB I have that contains
all of the public domain ST programs/files that we had collected here up
throught October. The file is about 23K and consists of about 1800+ names.
Our local atari club is up to their 95th disk in their ST PD library now
(they use DISKTOP to keep track of everything).
