I'm pretty sure this will mean the end of Psygnosis ST software. They're going to devote their time to MS-DOS, consoles and newer stuff like 3DO. They may even drop the Amiga, though I don't think it's likely. They really like the Amiga. Psygnosis US ain't talking about Falcon stuff. I hope to seriously grill the Psygnosis folks at Winter CES '94 in Vegas. Electronic Arts went and bought Origin. And Spectrum Holobyte has bought Microprose!! This is getting seriously weird... And what about that Atari/IBM deal over the Jaguar system? That was rather unexpected I think. Does it mean that, for once, an Atari product will actually be advertised and available in enough quantities? And might become a real marketing success? What a concept... Still no Frontier: Elite 2. Stop the torture!!! Good news for those of you who are tired of slogging through all those budget games just to find out what's new: ESCABGER is on its way! "Everything Single Compilation And Budget Game Ever Released" is what ESCABGER stands for, and it's just that. New budget games will be listed in the STGD when they come out, just once then they'll move to ESCABGER. Compilations will be listed in the STGD for the same length of time as normal games, but they'll also be listed in ESCABGER permanently. This will allow for a more streamlined and user-friendly STGD. A new issue of ESCABGER will be released every 6 months (January and July). Look for ESCABGER 1 (ESCAB193.TXT) sometime this July. Tell us what you think of this idea by dropping us a note in the usual place, ST RT CATegory 9 (Games) TOPic 22 (STGD). "Remember: we care!"
