        Subject: SAVE SOARing STar BBS with the miracle of Cranes!

To All Readers of the STF summaries, Users of the SOARing STar BBS,
members of the Yolo Atari Club and customers of STeve's Software
Sales,
     Because of decisions at Atari, STeve may have to trim expenses. 
This does not mean that STeve's Software will close.  I have been 
reassured on that point, but that means that the SOARing STar BBS may
have to be closed down, the line converted to a fax sales line, and the
equipment sold.
     The reason I type in the ST Format summaries is as a service to
the Atari Community and for STeve's Software Sales.  In return for
this effort, STeve's Software Sales allows YAC to use the SOARing STar
BBS as its official BBS.  Since we are primarily a BBS and newsletter
user group, having SOARing STar is tantamount to survival.  We do
not have the funds or location to run our own BBS at this time.  When
SOARing STar BBS closes down, YAC will cease to exist as an effective
user group.
     To prevent this I am asking all readers of STF summaries, users of
the SOARing STar BBS and all YAC members to write Bob Brodie at Atari to
tell him how much you need or appreciate STeve's Software Sales.  If you
are planning to buy a Falcon from STeve in the near or distant future, be
sure to state that in your letter.  What is happening is that Atari is in
the process of re-doing its dealer list and STeve's Software and
another prominent Atari Dealer on the east coast are rumored to not be on
that list.  The list has not been anounced yet and YOUR LETTER WILL
COUNT.  
     I also would like all those that know how to make origami cranes to
include one for each user in your house hold in your letter to Bob
Brodie.  If you would like to learn, there is a file called CRANE that
should have self-extracted from the TOS file.  This contains DEGAS PC3
pictures and a text file to help you along.
      Atari is a Japanese word meaning check or you are in danger. 
The Atari corporate emblem is called the Atari Fuji.  Legend has it, if a
1000 cranes are folded for a purpose, miracles can be achieved, the face
of reality changed and mountains can be moved.  Well, I am trying to move
a mountain, the Atari Fuji, corporation and all.  
     So, send in your letters and send in a crane if you can.  If you do
not know how to fold one, send in a drawing or picture of a duck.  Your
kids can help.
     This entirely my idea and no one else need be blamed for any fallout
or ramifications from this campaign.  Please do not bash Atari.  I want
STeve's Software to be an Official Atari Dealer once more.  I want new
software for my ST and Falcon machines.
