A FEW INTERESTING (AND NOT SO...) FACTS ABOUT RAINBOW 1.0:

RAINBOW is the only art package where you can change screen resolution,
monitor type, vertical frequency and overscan from within the program
without losing any work.

RAINBOW offers a unique quickchoice palette which gives you immediate
access to more colours than any other program is capable of. And it
only takes one mouse click to change all colours in the palette.

Another feature you won't find anywhere else is the possibility to
rearrange the user interface completely, at any time without damaging
your work.

RAINBOW comes with a built-in photo studio, and there will be a whole
bunch of additional built-in studios in the next version.
Needless to say, you may switch between the studios without data loss.

You can choose between eight tool types in the picture studio, but since
each one of them has an individual set of modes and effects the actual
number of tools reaches well over eighty.

RAINBOW supports the Tabby graphics tablet (our built-in driver uses
less than 1/50 of the memory that the original driver uses), and you
don't need the original supplied driver at all.

RAINBOW is programmed entirely in assembly language, which makes it
fast and reliable.

And speaking of fast... we compared our picture loading with a Falcon
compatible, GEM based, paint program that works (at least for a few
minutes...) when run from a true colour desktop. We won't reveal its
name though... Anyway, here's the results:
Uncompressed Targa: RAINBOW 5 times as fast as the other program.
Compressed TIFF: RAINBOW twice as fast as the other program.
Uncompressed TIFF: RAINBOW 4 times as fast as the other program.



RAINBOW 1.0 is a very powerful art package that offers you quite a lot
in terms of user friendliness, speed, flexibility, value for money etc.
But we know there are some people out there who still want more,
and don't want to buy RAINBOW now just beacause they know they can wait
a few months and then get a much better version for the same price.

So here's the deal:
You buy RAINBOW 1.0 now for around ś30 (and that's not very much, is it?)
and enjoy it for a couple of months, then we send you a completely new
and improved RAINBOW 2.0 for ś0(yes, for free)!!!
And if you can find a better deal on an art package for Atari Falcon,
then go for it...


THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FOR FREE IN RAINBOW 2.0:

More shapes (actually all shapes should have been in 1.0, but the upgrade
is for free, so who cares?).

More tools, filters etc.

More peripherals (BlowUp?, serial mouse?, etc?).

A complete sprite studio (we originally planned a block studio for 1.0,
but we decided to hold on to it and make it an advanced sprite studio
for 2.0).

A few multimedia studios fully incorporated with the rest, like a sound
studio, a slideshow studio with sound, or whatever.

Support for hires interlaced.

More zoom modes.

And of course we will try to include some of YOUR suggestions (send them to
